NEPHILIM – This once esoteric subject has picked up steam over the last ten years or so, but it has REALLY accelerated in the last couple of years.

For the aficionado, here are literally hundreds of DVDs, books and resources. For the skeptic, the pickings are much slimmer.

For those interested in learning about nephilim, it’s easy: it’s what’s being promoted. Google “nephilim” and the search engine returns between 3 and 4 million results. A look through the results quickly shows that the VAST majority are promoting this worldview.

The same search for “nephilim false teaching” generates about 2% of that total. Nephilim are definitely popular in 2013 America.

Fox News Goes Gay – Some good information, but there’s also propaganda to wade through–not the least of which is that at one point Fox News was somehow this shining journalistic city on a hill that has “lost its way.”  Fox News has always been the other side of the same controlled Corporate Media coin: it lied to its viewers in a thousand different ways, just like MS-NBC.  Only the point-of-view is different.  This PR piece (and the event it promotes) is interested in shoveling another narrative.

One of the biggest lies being told–and one that is ensnaring untold numbers of young people–is that you “have to live your best life now” or that “you have to live for the future.”  Either you believe these are the end times and you prepare accordingly–or you don’t and you live your life as you wish you could if these weren’t the last days.

There is a very strong normalcy bias in human beings.  This is defined as a “mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations.”

This is a dilemma for young Christians.  They see what is happening around them.  They know their Bibles as far as what is coming upon the earth.  YET, they want to live a “normal” life.  The desire for normalcy is very strong.  So they continue to make decisions based on the past–not on the present or the future.

The radio station still plays when I start my car.  My cellphone still tells me about the weather.  I have to go to class or work or to meet so-and-so or…  Life seems to be like it has always been.  I think I’ll just live for myself for awhile.  I can make it up later.  I’ve got plenty of time.

Sadly, this is the wide path.
