JOHN McCAIN: Fox News is a bit schizophrenic – Actually, it is not.  Fox News is 100%, completely, totally Corporate Media.  It will report whatever it’s told, whenever it’s told, however it’s told (such as using the many-times provocatively-dressed Fox News Blabber Babes), in whatever manner it’s told.

Fox News is an extremely reliable member in good standing of the Mystery of Iniquity. It is important in re-educating the many Christians who are viewers. Why else do you think Fox is so richly rewarded?  You decide.

IN MY EMAIL BOX – (h/t:BP) An interesting piece of propaganda titled “Fwd: EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT CATHOLIC”

When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no hospitals. Today, one out of five people in this country receive their medical care at a Catholic hospital.

When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no schools. Today, the Catholic Church teaches 3 million students a day, in its more than 250 Catholic Colleges and Universities, in its more than 1200 Catholic High Schools and its more than 5000 Catholic grade schools.

Every day, the Catholic Church feeds, clothes, shelters and educates more people than any other organization in the world.

The new Obama Health Mandate could end all this and the tax payers would have to make up the loss.

Also, all Catholic adoption services would come to an end; a human disaster.

There are more than 77 million Catholics in this country. It takes an estimated 50 million Catholic votes to elect a president. I am asking all of you to go to the polls in 2014 and be united in replacing all Senators and Reps with someone who will respect the Catholic Church, all Christians, and all Religions with the exception of Islam.

Mr. President, you said, “The USA is not a Christian Nation”. You are wrong! We are a Christian Nation founded on Judeo-Christian values allowing all religions in America to Worship & Practice Freely. Something Islam will never do.

Oh, by the way, on MUSLIM HERITAGE IN America…

Have you ever been to a Muslim hospital?

Have you heard a Muslim orchestra?

Have you seen a Muslim band march in a parade?

Have you witnessed a Muslim charity?

Have you seen Muslims shaking hands with a Muslim Girl Scout?

Have you seen a Muslim Candy Striper?*

Have you ever seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American way of life?

I’ve never seen a Muslim send out such a breath-taking piece of propaganda.
It wasn’t a Muslim who ordered the murders of 60-100 million Bible-believing Christians during the Dark Ages.
It wasn’t a Muslim who instituted the hundreds of years of torture and death of the Inquisition.
It was not a Muslim who a few weeks ago offered relief from my sins if I followed him on Twitter.
I’ve never seen a Muslim standing in the midst of Christ’s Church blaspheming God and proclaiming himself to be “Lord God the pope,”
I’ve never seen a Muslim commit blasphemy on the order of the following.

The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.” Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, “Cities Petrus Bertanous”.

“We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty”Pope Leo XIII Encyclical Letter of June 20, 1894,

The Pope takes the place of Jesus Christ on earth…by divine right the Pope has supreme and full power in faith, in morals over each and every pastor and his flock. He is the true vicar, the head of the entire church, the father and teacher of all Christians. He is the infallible ruler, the founder of dogmas, the author of and the judge of councils; the universal ruler of truth, the arbiter of the world, the supreme judge of heaven and earth, the judge of all, being judged by no one, God himself on earth.” Quoted in the New York Catechism.

The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, he is Jesus Christ himself, hidden under the veil of flesh.” Catholic National July 1895.

“The pope is the supreme judge of the law of the land . . . He is the vicegerent of Christ, and is not only a priest forever, but also King of kings and Lord of lords–La Civilta Cattolica, March 18, 1871

“It seems that Pope John Paul II now presides over the universal Church from his place upon Christ’s cross,” said Bishop Dunn, who traveled with seven other prelates to Rome. Taken from an article entitled, “Auckland Bishop Says Pope Presides From the Cross” AUCKLAND, New Zealand, SEPT. 20, 2004 –Zenit.org (Article # ZE04092001)

“The Saviour Himself is the door of the sheepfold: ‘I am the door of the sheep.’ Into this fold of Jesus Christ, no man may enter unless he be led by the Sovereign Pontiff; and only if they be united to him can men be saved, for the Roman Pontiff is the Vicar of Christ and His personal representative on earth.” (Pope John XXIII in his homily to the Bishops and faithful assisting at his coronation on November 4, 1958).

The Pope is of so great dignity, and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God. and the vicar of God.” -Ferraris Ecclesiastical dictionary

All names which in the Scriptures are applied to Christ, by virtue of which it is established that He is over the church, all the same names are applied to the Pope.” – On the Authority of the Councils, book 2, chapter 17

“This is our last lesson to you: receive it, engrave it in your minds, all of you: by God’s commandment salvation is to be found nowhere but in the Church; the strong and effective instrument of salvation is none other than the Roman Pontificate.” (Pope Leo XIII, Allocution for the 25th anniversary of his election, February 20, 1903; Papal Teachings: The Church, Benedictine Monks of Solesmes, St. Paul Editions, Boston, 1962, par. 653).

The last line of the 1302 ad Bull Unam SanctamIssued by POPE BONIFACE VIII states; we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff. –UNAM SANCTAM (Promulgated November 18, 1302) (For a complete look at this quote, see this… http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/source/b8-unam.html or this… http://www.papalencyclicals.net/Bon08/B8unam.htm )

There are literally HUNDREDS of quotes like the ones above. How many hospitals do you suppose one has to build in order for God to wink at blasphemy?
How many schools does one have to erect in order to proclaim oneself “God?”
How many good works will save your soul?

At one time–until about 50-60 years ago–in America, the Protestant churches warned their people about the Vatican.  Then, many of the mainline Protestant denominations signed onto the deception of “ecumenism.

What is ecumenism?

Ecumenism mainly refers to initiatives aimed at greater Christian unity or cooperation. The word is derived from Greek οἰκουμένη (oikoumene), which means “the whole inhabited world”, and was historically used with specific reference to the Roman Empire.

The general understanding of the ecumenical movement is that it came from the Roman Catholic Church’s attempts to reconcile with Christians who had become separated over theological issues.[5] After World War I the Catholic Church was not the only church which began to make changes. The world war had brought much devastation to many people. The church became a source of hope to those in need. In 1948 the first meeting of the World Council of Churches took place.

All that from one email?!?

Benny Hinn is cut from the same cloth.  “Christians are little messiahs” and “Christians are little gods.”  The two lies of the serpent to Eve in the Garden are alive and well in Copeland and Hinn and others.

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

Men still are being suckered by the same two lies of the serpent.  But men are arrogant and full of pride (the reason for Lucifer’s fall) and they enjoy being told “You are really special!  Why you are a god!”  It’s the reason the self-esteem movement was destined to succeed–in spite of the obvious falsity of its message.  It’s also the reason conmen will never run out of marks.

Houses in Detroit are going for as little as $1.00.  Here’s 13 houses one can buy in Detroit for under $100.  Unless the Chinese have a lot of Chinese houses that need wallpaper, they had better find something to do with all the dollars we’ve sent them–quickly!

From a place called “Durable Faith” – A badge don’t make it right…  – Another plea to rebel by mixing bad cops, tyrants and Soviets into a brew of confusion.

IF one is a Christian, you don’t debate God, you obey.  That being the case, here’s a Christians’ choices.
1- Obey the civil authorities.
2. If the civil authorities go against the laws of God, you don’t obey.
3. If the authorities come to put you in jail for not obeying, you may flee.

There is nothing in the Bible about picking up arms, rebelling or armed insurrection.  There is plenty of scripture that commands us not to do these things.  However, our flesh doesn’t like to hear about having to endure persecution for the sake of God’s laws.  American Christians will do ANYTHING–even make up doctrine–to avoid the P-word.

The choice is clear.  You can rebel–but don’t call yourself a Christian; you’re a rebel.  Like Lucifer–the original rebel.  If you rebel, when you’re standing in front of God, maybe he’ll accept the words of Thomas Jefferson instead of His word?  Maybe if you told Him that Alex Jones said it was okay?

You can try…

  1. “Another plea to rebel by mixing bad cops, tyrants and Soviets into a brew of confusion.”

Please point out where in that post, people were encouraged to rebel or take up arms.

    1. [The following discussion and the comments that follow involves opinions and speculation.–Ed.]

I’m sorry. I had the impression the author of the following was grumbling about submission.

“We have been conditioned to submit to anyone wearing a badge by our society, schools, and often even our churches. The result of unquestioned submission to authorities often produces the opposite result to the ideals of the civil society and equally applied law and order that we are seeking.”

And in fact, if the author is not advocating submission, then he is arguing against it. The antonym of “submission” is “resist” or “rebel.” It appears that submission is not what the author had in mind.

“Please point out where in that post, people were encouraged to rebel or take up arms.”

Exactly what answer were you looking for to question #3?

“What advice would you have given the super-majority of Russians that were Christians at the time the Bolsheviks came to power?”

And question #4? What answer was question #4 fishing for?

“What advice would you have given the super-majority of Germans that were Christians as the Nazi’s came to power?”

If he wasn’t looking for the obvious answer, then why ask the questions?

If the author was looking to back up what the Bible says in 1 Peter 2:13-14 and Romans 13:1-7 (and many other scriptures) then why did he reference the Jefferson’s quote [“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive.’] about resistance?

Why the confusion about Jesus and the Jewish authorities? Either it was sly to claim that “Jesus resisted” or it was confusion. Jesus quite clearly refused earthly power and was very clear about where His kingdom was. If the author is puzzled about this, John 18:36 provides the answer.

“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.”

NOW, I am not disagreeing about what seems to be the basic premise: a badge doesn’t give someone the right to abuse their authority. If that was all the piece said, that would have not only been true, but agreeable.

However, the piece very quickly veered off into resistance and not only resistance, but resistance justified (by the quotes provided by the author). The piece consisted of a few sentences about the basic premise while the bulk of the piece was a thinly-veiled appeal to resistance and rebellion.

“Please point out where in that post, people were encouraged to rebel or take up arms.”

If this is not the author’s intent, then why provide the quotes and ask the largely-rhetorical questions?

      1. Those are not rhetorical questions. They are there so we can think through the ramifications of our chosen course of action. Jesus said “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The reason that the founders such as Jefferson advocated resistance is that they have had a chance to see the ramifications first hand. Why is it that to you “submit to authorities” is a higher principle than “rescue the perishing”?

      2. Durable,

Okay, since you seem sincere enough…

“Why is it that to you “submit to authorities” is a higher principle than “rescue the perishing”?”

First, “rescue the perishing.” This phrase is not to be found in my KJV Bible. I did do a Google search and it’s from a hymn.

Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
        Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus, the mighty to save.

Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.

This is speaking about rescuing people from Hell; from sin. I couldn’t agree more. All believers are commanded to be witnesses for Jesus Christ.

You write as though these two are in conflict: they are not.

We are to submit to authority. We can witness while submitted. IN FACT, the book of 1st Peter is all about Christians submitting to an UNRIGHTEOUS GOVERNMENT–which is persecuting Christians!–and letting our behavior during that persecution be our witness to others. The word “martyr” comes from the Greek for “witness.”

It’s a good thing Peter wrote almost 2000 years ago. I doubt he would be very popular in America today.

“Who wants to be persecuted? Would good old Tom Jefferson take that? Heck no! Who is this Peter guy anyhow? He must have fought for the British!”

“Submit to authority” is a command, not a suggestion. If I am a Christian, I am to obey. It is very specific. It’s not optional. It’s not a “higher principle,” it’s God’s word.

Therefore, no matter how much I may want to NOT submit, I must.–if I call myself a Christian. As I stated, as Christians, we ARE to submit–even us Americans who have it drilled into our heads that we are a special breed. Many calling themselves “Christians” in America preach that they are not bound by God’s word because we have Thomas Jefferson or Ben Franklin or Thomas Paine or…

God did not put an “Americans-are-special-they-do-not-have-to-submit” clause into His word. And we HATE that!

We do have a few options if the government is contrary to God’s laws. I listed them. We are not to obey. We can flee. That’s it.

In addition to the scriptures I’ve already provided, 2 Peter 2:10 is very clear. Peter is talking about, coincidentally, false teachers; some of these, he says, will appear in the last days.

“But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.”

[The word “government” can also be translated as “authority.” In addition, my reference says that “dignities can be translated as “government” or “dominion.”]

Without a doubt, Peter nailed the many “Christian” writers in 2013 America who chafe at the boundaries imposed by God’s word. They preach an ear-tickling message: “You have to do something! Right now! What are you, a man or a mouse? Come on! The government not only stinks–it’s UNJUST! You’re a Christian! Do something!”

“Pastor” Chuck Baldwin has been pounding this message relentlessly for months. But he is not alone. In fact, these writers now attack the very scriptures which holds their un-Biblical advice bound.

“Coach” Dave Daubenmire is another writer who specializes in this tactic of undermining scriptural authority. He appears to have a particular distaste for Romans 13 and has written about it several times during the last 5 years.

In “DID JESUS FOLLOW ROMANS 13?” Daubenmire acts as though he’s just a good old boy, not a heretic.

“Coach” innocently says he’s just “asking questions.” I remember another who started by asking a question. “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”

Think about this one for a moment: Daubenmire is asking “Did Jesus follow God’s word–which is what Romans 13 clearly is?”

        Is he kidding?

There are no contradictions in God’s word. By pretending that there are and offering a “loophole” to those who want to please their flesh, Daubenmire is leading Christians astray. By pretending that Jesus didn’t really obey God’s word, he is a false teacher. The Bible says we are mark such as these.

It doesn’t matter how many people read “Coach Dave,” he needs to repent.

“Submitting to authority” and “rescuing the perishing” are not mutually exclusive.

        “Those are not rhetorical questions.”

“The question is used as a rhetorical device, posed for the sake of encouraging its listener to consider a message or viewpoint.”

That would make your questions, rhetorical questions.

The questions are very leading; they were asked in such a way as to “lead” the answer. What answers were you looking for? I’m not sure I see how “Love your neighbor as yourself” fits into the answers of either.

Perhaps you didn’t intend them that way. Maybe you have heard others talk in this fashion and haven’t considered the ramifications of the path they are trying to lead you down. No one but God can judge motives. I certainly can’t.

You may be one of the MILLIONS of Christians today who are listening to these ungodly messages. I know many.

You don’t have to act or even agree with what I am saying.

But if I don’t point this out to you, the Bible says that I will have your blood on my hands–and not only yours, but all who may read this.

I’ve posted Ezekiel 33:1-6 on my website. After it, is written

“More important than pomp, popularity, riches or recognition: we will be guilty of no man’s blood upon our hands.”

I try to live that every day.

        Thanks for the discussion!

      3. Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Proverbs 24:11 was the reference you couldn’t find. I do disagree with you on your take on Chuck and Dave and Romans 13, but I can still respect your intent to honor scripture. D.Bonhoeffer wrote a book called ethics that you might find interesting which deals with resolving ethical conundrums where two scriptural commands seem to conflict. Which principle do you obey. Deitrich believed Love thy neighbor is the ultimate tie breaker in such situations and I believe he and dave and chuck are right because Jesus said that is the fulfillment of the law, the ultimate tie breaker.

      4. Oh yes, Many scripture command us to “pull them out of the fire.”

Jude 23 is specific, as is Proverbs 24:11: “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

Love thy neighbor is a very good “tie-breaker.”

Before becoming a Christian, I wrote about the politics, media and memes. Just as in the corporate media, memes are developed in the world of Christian mass media, as well. Some memes target Christian-professing readers/viewers specifically.

Here’s a couple disturbing ones I’ve noticed (there are many). They are part of a whole that will eventually be hyped to its fullest.

        1. The foundational one is “America was founded as a Christian nation.” As someone with a background in history, this is demonstrably false. The people in America were overwhelmingly (some estimates say 98%) Protestant, Bible-believing Christians; the leaders almost totally were not. Other than public pronouncements by the founders–political speech is highly unreliable (Barack Obama says he is a Christian. Do you believe him?)–many other proofs were that they were not even Christians. Many in previous generations of Americans were aware of this–our generation is generally only aware of what we’re told on TV or magazines.

One test: if our country was founded as a Christian nation, why isn’t Jesus mentioned in any of our founding documents? We had the opportunity but He was voted down–sometimes overwhelmingly–by our “Christian” founders. We were founded as a Christian nation but didn’t mention the object of our founding?

This myth is crucial: if one doesn’t believe this plank, it will be hard to believe the others laid on top of this foundation. That is why so many “Christian” writers have spent so much time over the last seven-ten years pounding this in the popular culture. A good amount of books and TV airtime also was dedicated to promoting this meme.

        2. The second foundation is the one we’re currently seeing: “the government is lousy and unjust and What are YOU going to do about it, Christian?” There is a lot of wrapping the Bible in the flag, quoting the founders and giving them equal preeminence with scripture, and equating the constitution and freedom with the Bible.

As a preemptive rhetorical strike, this phase also involves undermining Romans 13, 1 and 2 Peter and other scriptures commanding Christians to obey civil authorities. There’s always a reason to disobey scripture–they’ll never run out of reasons why we don’t have to obey.

Test their coming articles. I see no preaching of the gospel. Nothing about the Christians’ joy in facing persecution for the name of Jesus. Nothing about “glory” and persecution. The Bible says that few will love the truth. Few will find the way.

They are attempting to “herd” Christians–and Christians are lining up to go–to a certain place, which is:

        3. The third phase is just beginning: “Righteous anger at an unjust or illegitimate government of tyrants.” Almost always mentioned in a hypothetical situation for now. But anger is directed at (for now) Obama and the “traitors” in our government. Also, our government is portrayed as “illegitimate” or “usurpers.” Or it is reported as being “hopelessly broken.” If they paint the government as “illegitimate,” well, that would loose the scriptural restraints, wouldn’t it?

Another goal is to call a constitutional convention. Some Americans are aware that a constitutional convention can be convened (there a process for that). Not many are aware that once a convention is convened, ANYTHING can be taken up–including scrapping the constitution we now have. Think about it: why would the delegates to such a convention be any different than the representatives we now have?

        4. That last phase will be “Outright revolt or rebellion.” After the first three planks are laid, this is the logical endgame. Some are already mentioning it. And like all good memes, all the controlled media is chipping in.

Libertarians have the Cato Institute: The Second American Revolution Underway.
The Left, Huffington Post: Finishing the Second American Revolution
Of course, the Christian Dominionists/Kingdom Now can’t pass up this opportunity: “Joyner: Get ready for a second American Revolution” [These are the guys who insist that Christians must seize the kingdom and give it to Christ when He returns–which is totally un-Biblical.]
The Right has Fox News: “Second American Revolution on the horizon

If Americans–including a good portion of Christians–aren’t ready to rebel, it won’t be because the Corporate Media didn’t try it’s level best.

Why are they doing it? It’s only a guess, but it’s to strike down all potential “troublemakers” at the onset. They’ll be a lot easier to find if they’re out in the street with a weapon. And all the hunters in Texas are not going to do well against Apache gunships and Hellfire (appropriately enough named) missiles.

Jesus warned us to beware of deception. It’s so thick now–layer upon layer of lies.

He commanded us: Do not be deceived.

        And yet, so many are.

        Thanks for the comment.
