What Does the Bible have to say about the End Times?
Revival or Apostasy?
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”

Many Christians want a Great Revival!

They plead for it. They hunger for it. They plan for it.
But in the times in which we live, is it Biblical?
Regardless of how hard Scripture is twisted, the Bible says nothing about a “Great End Times Revival.” It does, however, warn of “falling away,” “apostasy” and “perilous times.”
If one believes that we are living in the end times, then one has to look for the signs of those times.
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”
—2 Thessalonians 2:4
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”
—Matthew 24:12
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”
—2 Timothy 3:1
So what of all the calls for revival?
Many pew-sitters in American Christian churches want nothing of repentance–without which there can be no revival.
In these days in which we live, there are no shortage of men who will tickle the ears of the pew-sitters, who want to be encouraged of revival–without any of the heavy lifting required to bring it about.
“To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
There have been times of revival. There was a great revival in the days of the apostles in Acts. While modern Christians can learn valuable lessons from Acts, they are not living in the same times as when the events in Acts took place.
Christians are living in MUCH different times–times in which Jesus Himself warned about.
See Matthew 24.
“To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
A time for revival and a time for apostasy.
Does this mean that Christians are no longer to share the good news of Jesus Christ? That God has offered full pardon for the sins of lost and wicked man in exchange for belief on the atoning blood of His Son, Jesus Christ’s death on the cross? Is that time over?
God forbid.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
—Matthew 28:19-20
EVERY season is the season to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
—2 Timothy 4:2
“To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
In which season are Christians now living:?
The season of revival?
Or the season of apostasy?
The Bible clearly states the latter. But regardless of which season, Christians are to witness to those who are lost and dying and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
To those who hunger for revival: there IS a great global move coming.
But it will not be from God.
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,”

Which season are you looking for?
[NOTE:
The Bible doesn’t support this notion of a Great End Times Revival. There will still be souls won. But it will be hand-to-hand combat.]

A couple years ago I thought an end times revival would possibly happen. But it has been so evident now in the last year + that we are witnessing at least the beginning of The Great Falling Away. You can see the tracks being laid step by step. The tracks will soon be finished and the locomotive will be on a non stop voyage to Rome. It is sad but true.

I agree with everything you say.
Except the “non stop voyage to Rome.”
A year ago, I thought the pinnacle of deception and the mystery of iniquity was Rome. It goes deeper than Rome, although Rome will have its end times deceptive part to play. Rome has prepared for that part for centuries, but especially in the last 150 years–which coincidentally is the same time that the rot in the Protestant churches began in earnest.
However, there are so many strands of deception woven in the end times tapestry, it’s a wonder anyone can see through the picture.
You are correct: the apostasy is beginning and will culminate very soon. Since the apostasy will look so much like the Church we have now, many will proclaim it a revival.
Time is running out!

I’ve been confused about this because the Bible says there will be a great falling away, in the gospels, Jesus asks “will there be faith on earth?” when he returns, and there will be great signs, powers, and lying wonders from satan. But in Joel and Acts, it also speaks about a latter rain that will come on all flesh in the last days.
Can you talk about this in relation to this revival people speak about?

AFTER Jesus Christ returns (which Joel and Acts specifically address), there will be a GREAT outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit.
