CHIPPIE THE RFID CHIP TOUR:

DISINFORMATION SATIRE or HOAX?

CHIPPIE THE FRAUDULENT RFID STORY

The following disclaimer was added to the website yesterday shortly after our original link went up.

Chippie the RFID Chip mascot begins nationwide tour to alleviate children’s fears of implantation – The picture of “Chippie” is worth clicking on this link.

[NOTE: There has been no success in trying to authenticate this story.  No local news reports of the tour have been published that this writer can find.  This is a  subject about which it is easy to blend fiction with truth.

As a matter of record, we’ll leave this link up, along with this disclaimer.  It may assist someone else who is looking for information on this subject.

The website where the story began is a hoax site.

To label the story a “hoax” or “satire” is giving the writer too much credit.     One sign of both disinformation and poor satire is confusion for readers.

However, be aware: when disinfo, “satire” stories such as this are planted, usually this is a sign that the real thing will be along any time now. The “satire” stories are used to discredit any future warnings about the subject.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused during the 155 minutes this link was up without the disclaimer–Ed.  10-29-13  1035]

Continuing the search, there is no Chippie.  There is no tour.

There is only a “troll” website.

While many webmasters and forum administrators consider trolls a scourge on their sites, some websites welcome them. For example, a New York Times article discussed troll activity at 4chan and at Encyclopedia Dramatica, which it described as “an online compendium of troll humor and troll lore”.[22] This site and others are often used as a base to troll against sites that their members can not normally post on. These trolls feed off the reactions of their victims because “their agenda is to take delight in causing trouble”.[41]

Wonder if Chippie will make it into Encyclopedia Dramatica?  The ED website used to be a notorious hang-out for Internet trolls.

NOTE: ED was shut down in 2011. Except for a functioning mirror site.

  1. A few years back they had this chippie, the one in the add. Someone taped it at this school where chippie came out and sang and talked to kids.Later it was taken down because people were having a fit about this calling it the mark. Which it is as far as I believe. Then of course they say it was a scam. Cause it was scaring the public, being to forward in showing there plan to chip people. I just wish I would have taped it so I had it now. As when they were telling us about obama’s being born in Kenya, and later taken down.

    1. Kent Bowers,

Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Actually, a few years back when this article was written, we put some time in trying to run down the story of “Chippie.”

      This is what we found.

      There was NO Chippie.
      There was NEVER any Chippie.
No Chippie at a school; no Chippie at ANY school; no Chippie on tape.
He did not exist. He was a hoax.
That is why we wrote the article.

IF a tape of Chippie exists today, it did not exist in 2013. The reason it did not exist is because Chippie was a hoax. We ran the article and investigated and had to update the article to reflect what we found.

And what we found was: There never was any Chippie. Ever.

The mark of the beast will not be a chip anyway.
The Bible says the mark of the beast has to do with worship.

Mark of the Beast 666: 7 Observations

Once again: thank you for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment.
