End Times Prophecy Report
February 13, 2014
Due to a plethora of commitments, today’s offering will be short. We’ll play catch-up tomorrow and on the weekend.
Barack Obama, The Best Friend a Tea Party could Have – The number of emails this writer receives from various Tea Party groups asking for money is staggering. President Lightning Rod, Barack Obama, the super-secret Muslim, figures prominently in many of them. So does John Boehner. It’s hard to take the Tea Party seriously when there is a large graphic displayed in one of yesterday’s emails which states “Call John Boehner NOW and tell him to resign!”
CONCLUSION: Barack Obama has been responsible for raising as much–or more!–money for his opponents as George Bush and Bill Clinton was for their detractors.
People contribute money to these causes because they believe that by doing so, they will be delivered from those who torment them. But that never proves to be the case. The cycle never ends. It never gets better. It only gets worse.

Rough seas around movie “Noah” – But will it matter to Christians, who are used to labeling ANY attention by the Hollywood as “a good thing?”
“I was upset — of course,” the director says of Paramount testing alternate versions of the $125 million epic as he and the studio break their silence on efforts to appease a small but vocal segment of the faith-based audience: “Those people can be noisy.”
This quote invites the question: just who exactly was the movie made for? Apparently not for Christians. But that won’t stop the movie studio from appealing to Christians to empty their wallets when the movie is released. It will also not stop many Christians from exalting an unbiblical Hollywood product.
One understands Christians embracing Hollywood from time to time. Christians have always wanted films to see with their families. Hollywood knows this. The world knows this. It’s not a recent phenomena. In 1966, the move The Bible: In the Beginning was a big Hollywood production which did very well. The movie itself is divided into five sections based on Genesis. The first four sections were fairly aligned with the Bible (after all, this was almost 50 years ago).
But the last section, about Abraham and Isaac, wildly diverged from the Bible. It showed a distraught Abraham questioning God over sacrificing his son. It showed an Abraham that is foreign to the Bible; an Abraham that contemplated rebelling against God. It portrayed an Abraham railing against his God.
This picture of Abraham no doubt influenced many who saw this movie (and the movie did very well) including this writer. It was not until becoming a Christian that it was discovered that the Abraham of Hollywood and the Abraham of the Bible are two completely different people.
What does the Bible say? Does God’s Word declare to Christians to accept the world’s products because they are entertaining or because they are “better than 95% of what’s out there?”
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
–1 John 2:15
This article prompts many questions.
Why make this movie? Why now? Is it because Hollywood is a stickler for biblical accuracy? Is it because Hollywood adores the God of the Bible? Some readers may answer “money” and money is never far from the minds of Hollywood. But Hollywood is not only about money and has financed many movies that were guaranteed losers because of “other considerations.” This next quote reveals who the target audience is for this picture.
“…a major investment that is intended to appeal to believers of every religion as well as those without any faith.”
How exactly does one appeal to believers of every religion as well as those without any faith unless one compromises? This statement also provides the ready-made excuse for any Christians who protest that the movie contradicts the Bible.
“Well, the movie has to appeal to all faiths. Why do Christians think they are special?”
To be sure, “Noah” will contain elements of truth in it. Whether it is antichrist literature and films or propaganda, the most effective are those which mixes the lies with truth. But like ALL Hollywood Bible movies, “Noah” will contain antichrist propaganda which is another name for Hollywood’s worldview.
The call here?
“Noah” will in some way undermine the authority of the Bible.
Tinder hook-ups off the hook at Sochi – The world has its ways and the world has its own euphemisms for those ways. ‘Hooking up” sounds better than “shacking up” which sounds better than “one-night stand” which sounded better than “fornication.”
THE MERCY OF THE LORD
Have had several discussions lately–including a comment on an article yesterday–about those who get caught up in cycles of walking away from Jesus, repenting, walking away, repenting. Is this biblical? Can someone who TRULY has had their life transformed by the new birth turn their back on the One who laid down His life for us?
Only God knows the heart. Only He knows whether a true transformation has taken place–or merely the appearance of one. What of those who claim a new birth but cling to the things of this world?
What does the Bible say about those who have had the truth and walk away from it?
“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”
—2 Peter 2:20
This writer knows stumbling–the Bible says Christians who are transformed will stumble or struggle with sin–but what of those who rush headlong back to their former ways? Who trade Jesus for cheap thrills? What of the one who says “I’ll be back. I’m not really turning my back on Jesus. I’m just getting it all out of my system.” Is that biblical–or is it something someone who has known the truth says to ease their conscience while engaging in what they know is planned sin?
That situation is a completely different one from stumbling. When there is no struggle, it is willful sin.
This was part of the answer given yesterday.
We Christians in 2014 America have been taught that someone who is saved can move easily back and forth between the world of darkness and the kingdom of light. We see it apparently happening so often, it must be true, right? But I wonder?
“For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”
–2 Peter 2:21-22
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,”
And yes, those who call themselves “ex-Christians” are perhaps the saddest of all. It makes one wonder if they were really ever Christians to begin with?
The mercy of the Lord is such that humans can never know the end of it. But Scripture tells us that His perfect mercy is tempered by the other attributes of His perfection. Jesus Himself spoke of one.
“Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:”
Christians love the parable of the Prodigal Son–as well they might. But the wayward son was foolish before heading back home (One considers the many examples of the word “foolish” and the word “evil” being synonymous in the Bible). It can be argued that the Prodigal Son did not have the knowledge of the truth when he left home but that his experiences in the world of sin helped bring him to the truth.
Christians are also aware that all heaven rejoices at the saving of a sinner.
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”
Some Christians appear to have the view that heaven is holding one long, continuous celebration over the same sinner walking away, returning and walking away again.
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.”
At the very least, such a cycle of deliberate sin and repentance is extremely dangerous.

I think the reader can see that the weather is probably the worst mankind has ever experienced in the history of the planet. Is there nothing that can be done? Surely man, with all of his technological brilliance can do something to turn this around.
CARE OF THE ROADS – For better or for worse, many judge how bad the weather is by the condition of the highways and roads they travel. Perhaps that is why it has been noticed that government highway departments are doing much less to care for the roads during the winter–at least according to this writer’s observations.
The powers that be will never run out of reasons why they do something and this situation is no different. What is different is the number of citizens who make excuses for the roads being left unattended.
Roads covered for 36 hours with an inch or two of snow?
The following was a real conversation from earlier this week.
“The roads have 2 inches of snow on them. They haven’t even been scraped for a day and a half.”
“There wasn’t any school this morning.”
“But school wasn’t cancelled until a few hours ago.”
“They’re waiting for it to stop snowing.”
“But it hasn’t snowed in almost 24 hours.”
“People don’t know how to drive in the snow.”
Many use road conditions as a sort of shorthand for weather.
Roads bad = weather bad
