Republicans: Obama violating the constitution, but little can be done about it – With a little punctuation change, this headline would be that rarest of happenings: a truthful Corporate Media headline.  Headline should read: “Republicans, Obama violating the constitution but little can be done about it.”

Winter Weather Takes Toll on Infrastructure – One other thing that takes a toll on infrastructure which is seldom discussed: neglect.  What of all of the billions dedicated to “infrastructure” in 2009?  Remember those?  Where did that money end up?

Obama: The Stimulus Worked – Why yes!  Look at all the new infrastructure!  Maybe Paul Ryan can be persuaded to do a soundbite on it.

===MISCELLANEOUS

Excessive radiation levels detected at New Mexico military waste site – The USA has set off so many nuclear and atomic devices in New Mexico over the years, it’s a wonder everyone who lives in the state doesn’t have four arms.

Pastor and New York State Senator Rubén Diaz Sr. Wants Moms and Dads To Take Mandatory Parenting Classes – An atheist–who writes under the name “The Friendly Atheist”–reminds that atheists are often libertarians too.

“But forcing good, capable, responsible moms and dads to attend parenting classes is an idea only a rabid statist or an arrogant religious Nanny could love.”

Actually, an atheist should make the best libertarian: both detest authority. And so, a great many libertarians are atheists.  And vice versa.

However, one would suspect that the principled atheist (“principled” here being used as another way of saying “unthinking” or “slave to predetermined talking points” ) would forgo libertarianism altogether in favor of a more natural philosophy: anarchy.

In  Albert Pike‘s famous letter outlining his 3-World War plan to usher in the antichrist one-world government, Pike was clear that the plan was to destroy both atheists and Christians alike.

“We shall unleash the nihilists and the atheists and we shall provoke a great social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to all nations the effect of absolute atheism; the origins of savagery and of most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the people will be forced to defend themselves against the world minority of the world revolutionaries and will exterminate those destroyers of civilization and the multitudes disillusioned with Christianity whose spirits will be from that moment without direction and leadership and anxious for an ideal, but without knowledge where to send its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer brought finally out into public view. A manifestation which will result from a general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and Atheism; both conquered and exterminated at the same time.”

While the Bible says the a great many Christians will be martyred, the church of Jesus Christ will not be destroyed.

“…upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18

Though many Christians see atheism as the ultimate rejection of God, it is not.   Atheists bear a heavy burden.  To have one’s entire philosophical outlook defined by one’s opponents is ultimately self-defeating.  This has to be terribly frustrating for the thinking atheist–and atheists, like many scientists, define themselves as those who substitute “reason” for “faith.”

However, atheism, like evolutionism, requires a great deal of faith to believe what they believe.  Atheism is a religion, with all of the duties of religion without any of the comforts.

No wonder many atheists are angry atheists.

The Arrogance of Media-created “celebrities”Time is just a concept – Saw this on a quote site and it demonstrates, not only the arrogance, but the low-level ignorance of those who suppose themselves to be the “best and the brightest.”  These poseurs–who substitute money for intelligence–are among those who yearn to be mankind’s masters.  The quote reads:

“Some people are old at 18 and some are young at 90…time is a concept that humans created.”
Yoko Ono

So, before humanity was created, time–like Cheetos and Facebook–did not exist?

Gobbledygook, no matter how sincerely performed or solemnly declared, is still gobbledygook. Yoko Ono was always celebrated because of her rebelliousness, not for any innate talent she possessed.  Her nonsense statement about time only adds more proof of that contention.  Ono has often been described as “avante garde.

Avante-garde” is used by the media to describe those who lack talent but who want to enjoy the perks of celebrity nonetheless.

‘Bizarre’ Cluster of Severe Birth Defects Stuns Health Experts – In the times in which we live, experts are regularly stunned and scientists, puzzled.

(VIDEO) Are you a trader? – An example of a video that many Christians will no doubt think is wonderful.

Initially, this writer thought “Ah, what a wonderful Christian message to share!”

But is it?  Or does it contain subtle anti-Christian messages sprinkled throughout its 2 minute presentation?

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
1 John 4:1

The first thing that caused one to take heed was where the video was first seen.  Is the Corporate Media a promoter of Jesus Christ?  Or is it a deceiver?

The second thing was the video’s use of “Christ.”  That can be a tip-off, though the video did throw “Jesus” into the mix a couple of times.  In the times in which we live, Christians will frequently hear “Christ” being used by the world, “Jesus” much less and “Jesus Christ” almost never.

The New Age and the occult speak of a coming Christ.  They also speak of Jesus being one of the “Ascended Masters” though a lesser one.  But Jesus Christ?  No way: the Christ is yet to come.  Jesus was not the Christ.

The next alert was a phrase used at the 1:40 mark.

The trader sees Work as Worship.

This brought back memories of conversations this writer had 35 years ago with a good friend who used that phrase quite a lot “My work is my worship.”  The friend practiced an Eastern religion. At the time, the phrase always sounded thoughtful and good.  It wasn’t until this writer became a Christian that he checked out what the Bible had to say on the subject.

“Their land is also full of idols; They worship the work of their own hands, That which their own fingers have made.”
Isaiah 2:8

“Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.”
Micah 5:13

Not exactly what this writer was looking for, but close enough.  The Bible has much to say about worship.  Nowhere does it state that work is worship.

Lastly, did the video present the good news of Jesus Christ?  Or was there a slickly-packaged gospel of good works?  The organization responsible for the video and other similar ones: rightnow.org.

Christians are being bombarded with other gospels–and these other gospels don’t sound bad.  They are supposed to sound good.

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
Matthew 24:11

In the times in which we live, there are no champions on TV or in mass media or in the movies.  The only champions are the ones found in the Bible–and those who try to live by those words without listening to the false prophets sent by the enemy to deceive believers.

Sozo prayer, article 3

This is where discernment is crucial for recognizing the difference between man-initiated encounters and the biblical pattern that confirms; true encounters with God are always initiated and facilitated by Him alone. In fact, the only scriptural references for man-initiated encounters are instances of divination, which is a severe offence and abomination to the Lord, (Lev.20:6, Deut.18:9-14, Jer.14:14, Acts 16:16, etc.). And Ezekiel 13:6-8 perfectly describes sozo sessions, where God condemns conjuring up vain visions of lying divinations while claiming they are from Him and causing people to hope in false confirmation. Colossians 2:18 also speaks against intruding into things not seen and being vainly puffed up by the fleshly mind. For although our God-given imagination can be used to express worship and petition to God, it is never to be used as a way to hear from God, which leads to rank superstition and creates an idol in the mind.

Third-coldest winter on record – Of course this is nonsense.  But for those whose history consists of what was on yesterday’s iPhone, it is the gospel truth.  Every summer is a record hot summer.  Every winter is a record cold winter.  All weather is extreme weather.  Extreme weather is proof of climate change.

And climate change is the crisis which calls for massive worldwide government cooperation and loss of individual freedom.
