The John Hagee Deception: Jesus not the Messiah for the Jews

JOHN HAGEE DECEPTION: More than one way to heaven? Jesus not the Messiah?
JOHN HAGEE DECEPTION: More than one way to heaven? Jesus not the Messiah?

Popular TV preacher John Hagee is no friend of the Jews.

Hagee is the brains behind CUFI (Christians United for Israel).  Yet, Hagee will not share the gospel with Jews!  More than that, Hagee has written that Jesus wasn’t the Messiah for the Jews!  Hagee also has said that the Jews have their own way to heaven and don’t need Jesus!

So don’t look to John Hagee to offer the Jews the opportunity for eternal life through Jesus Christ. He is on the record as saying he flatly won’t do it.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.”
John 10:27,5

Hagee’s sheep know his voice. This is revealing according to John 10:27, 5.

Nevertheless, there are people who call themselves Christian who elevate John Hagee higher than Jesus Christ, refusing to believe that Hagee isn’t who he says he is.  This writer encountered one yesterday.  This is what the person said when notified of the heresies in print and video of John Hagee and the written heresies of C.S. Lewis.

“I don’t know how you interpret either Hagee or Lewis, both great men of God. But, you are free to believe what you want even though misguided.”

Ironically, this person was writing about Apostasy in the Church.  Hagee and C.S. Lewis were both quoted favorably.

When this writer dropped the following John Hagee quotes in a comment, that comment was not published.

“I’m not trying to convert the Jewish people to the Christian faith… In fact, trying to convert Jews is a waste of time. Jews already have a covenant with God and that has never been replaced by Christianity.” (Houston Chronicle, April 30, 1988, sec, 6, pg. 1).

“In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away”.
Hebrew 8:13

YouTube video where John Hagee says his book “will prove Jesus did not come to earth to be the Messiah.”

“The [Jewish] people wanted Him to be their Messiah, but He absolutely refused. The Jews were not rejecting Jesus as Messiah, it was Jesus who was refusing to be the Messiah to the Jews!”  (John Hagee, Should Christians Support Israel? (San Antonio, TX: Dominion Publishers, 1987, [pp. 67-68])

“The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.”
John 4:25-26

John Hagee is a liar.

John Hagee is antichrist and is preparing the way for the man of sin. Those who follow such obvious antichristian teachings reveal their real spiritual condition.

“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight…For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”
Romans 3:8, 23-24

Sadly, so many “christians” don’t know their Bible–which is why they fall for wolves like John Hagee. These tares know the voice of John Hagee, a stranger.  But they do not know the voice of the Good Shepherd.

The temptation to ignore such ungodly wolves as Hagee and Lewis is strong.  Both men have many fans–and many of the fans are passionate for these two men.  But Scripture commands us to mark these men, warn others and then avoid them–and these are not times in which we should be disobedient (if ever such times existed).

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”
Romans 16:17

Christians should pray that John Hagee repents and joins the Body of Christ.

  1. I find this article to be slanderous indeed. I have followed John Hagee’s teachings for years! And watch him on tv at least twice a week on TBN & GETV. He preaches the BIble verbatim. Not a friend of the Jews? This man WITH RABBIES started CUFI, Christians United for Israel. Everyhing about this Pastor loves the Jew and Israel. Washington Journal JEWISH journalist , Charles Krauthammer, said CUFI is now the most important .organization in the world now. (Especially with all the Anti-Semitism in Europe now.) And CUFI has well over one million American Christians AND Jews as members! They just had their Wasington Summit in DC this July…Charles was one of the speakers as well as Netanyahu. This is an insult, and it would be more productive if you SAW the truths instead of doctored tapes. Jesus is the Mesiah to come, but many Jews will not accept. We will see in the end who is right won;t we? You owe your writers and readers, but most of all Hagee a huge apology. God gave this man of God FAVOR…To start such an organization? It was God!

    1. jwtn,

Thank you for taking the time to stop and comment.

“I find this article to be slanderous indeed.”

Of course you would. As a follower of John Hagee, this comment was your opportunity to refute the two heresies mentioned in this article.

Comments are always informative. Some by what they add to the discussion; others, by what they avoid discussing.

Since you chose not to address these two heresies of John Hagee (except to claim that you yourself have never heard Hagee preach them) covered in this piece, preferring to put your trust in men exalted by other men, it’s hard to see what more we could discuss.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment.

    2. And no wonder for the devil, himself can be transformed into an angle of light! Do you think that the Anti-christ will preach against there being a god? No! He will quote scripture verbatim with little changes.

  2. Jeremiah, as young Christians, we visited Hagee’s church in San Antonio for a conference about Israel. We did not have the experience to be more discerning, and have apologized to the Lord for attending. The aftermath for us? A severe attack by the enemy – no details necessary.

About your exposure of him: the evidence is there – though he may be a friend of the Jewish people,he is not God’s friend, for he denied the words of Jesus Christ, the Messiah of both Jew and Greek.

    Yes, may Hagee repent!

  3. Thank you.

I believe we all do things when we’re young…

I agree with your entire comment–except for Hagee being a friend of the Jewish people. Someone who refuses to share Jesus Christ with the lost (whether they be Jew or Gentile) is no friend.

Hagee is someone’s friend–but not of the Jewish people.

    1. Yes, you’re right – since he refuses to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them, he is NOT their friend.
