COUNTERFEIT LOVE: AN END TIMES DECEPTION
Not every deception from Satan looks evil. Some deceptions will even “feel heavenly.”
What does that have to do with the following article? Let’s see if we can tie it all together.
More Cities Are Making It Illegal To Hand Out Food To The Homeless
The reader may ask himself: Is there any possible good reason for cities doing this?
During the coming chaos: first, the dog-eat-dog world will be very prominent. This will be a hard, dark world with fear, hatred and anger predominating. Evil will be so in-your-face that it will be impossible to miss.
The linked article is only a whiff of what is to come.
Why?
The Bible warns that Satan deceives the whole world.
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:”
–Revelation 12:9
After the dog-eat-dog chaos, the false demonic “love” of the man of sin will seem like such a welcome contrast. This counterfeit demonic “love” will feel better than anything one can imagine. Some will describe it as “pure love” or “liquid love.” It will feel like there is an incredible hot liquid filling up your chest.
It will feel wonderful. It will feel delicious. It is supposed to fool those who are used to walking by feelings and by sight.
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”
–2 Corinthians 5:7
Faith No Longer Needed in American Church: The Sight-Walkers
It will fool a great many people–particularly those who now inhabit the American churches. They will be told “It’s the love of God. That’s the feeling of God loving you. Doesn’t it feel like love? How can anything that feels so right be wrong?”
So many are totally unfamiliar with love. They have been led to believe that lust, chemical reactions, various feelings from drugs, or mutual benefit societies are love. Because so many don’t know true love, they will be taken in by this counterfeit version which will supply euphoria in place of love.
Some may protest that the scenario pictured here is impossible.
It is not.
There are even now drugs–which are easily available–which supply these overwhelming feelings of euphoria that many users describe as “pure love.”
Here’s how one medical website describes the effects of “ecstasy” (MDMA or 3,4-methylenedioxy–N-methylamphetamine)
It makes you feel high and happy and full of energy. It can make colours and sounds more intense. It can give you feelings of love and affection towards people around you for a short time.
This feeling can also be demonically induced and has been described as feeling “love and peace.”
Astral Sex: The ecstasy of out-of-body pleasure
From a pro-drug website: Demons, Death and Rebirth: MDMA (Ecstasy)
How can what appears to be love be bad?
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
–2 Corinthians 11:14-15
It will feel good but it will not be love. It will be a counterfeit.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”
–Revelation 16:13-14
Not all of the demonic miracles being performed in the end times will be false healing, fire from the sky or the dead apparently being raised. For those under strong delusion, some of the end times “lying signs and wonders” will contribute to a feeling that the man of sin feels so right.
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast?”
—Revelation 13:4
“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
—Revelation 13:8
“…as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
—Revelation 13:15
The Bible says that the whole world worships the man of sin and the dragon. Something will cause the world’s deceived peoples believe that the man of sin is worthy of worship.
Counterfeit love surely might cause the lost to worship a counterfeit god.

[Some will describe it as … “liquid love”.]
There so much good admonition in this article; but, can it be done without the subtle inferences to “Pentecostals” at large?
“Liquid love” has been used over the last 50 years by Pentecostals to describe the feeling that they experience when they’re Baptized in the Holy Ghost. And though there has been much controversy over this experience, not all Pentecostals are of the deceptive NAR, TBN or Christian New Age mind set. Nor are they “demon-possessed” because they have had such an experience and believe God for personal healing and/or answers to prayer.
Also, a person who is truly “touched” by God is going to “feel” or “experience” something … walking with God is not all bland, pea soup!
I am, however, just “nit-picking” and, maybe, clarifying an otherwise worthwhile and timely article!

Tm,
Your comment is instructive–though not in the way it was perhaps intended.
Coming from a Pentecostal background, IF I had wanted to indict Pentecostals any more than I already did, I would have specifically called them out. I would not have made “subtle references” to Pentecostals at large.
You are correct: Pentecostals are not “demon-possessed because they have had such an experience and believe God for personal healing and/or answers to prayer.” That was your take.
No one mentioned that Pentecostals were demon-possessed but you.
Yes, by your own admission, you are nit-picking. But more than that, you engage in the behavior of an Internet troll. A bit more sly than many but a troll nonetheless.
Repent and believe on Jesus for salvation.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

All true, but there IS an experience like liquid love when being baptized with the Holy Spirit. It is real and is of God. I know because I had it. I was not involved in any church or anything at all other than reading the bible. I surrendered myself to Jesus (in the biblical way) and this is what happened immediately afterward. So it doesn’t matter how many choose not to believe it and try to bash it, it is real. Although a thousand counterfeits may parade by, it does not nullify the fact that there is a real too. Aside from all the bible verses about it, there is a specific one to see: Romans 5; 5. I’m not saying this to disagree with you as I don’t know what your view is on this. I have encountered so many ‘nay sayers’ (who are wrong) and that is why I make the point. Anyway, I read and enjoy your blog here regularly. And I am already saved as mentioned above. I probably won’t see your response as there are always so many articles to sort through here and navigate through.
God bless you!

Evangelina,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Since according to your comment it’s unlikely you’ll read this, I won’t reply to everything you’ve stated EXCEPT to point out that ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE (many verses) the baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs to each believer at the moment of conversion. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not something that takes place after conversion and it is not something that some have and others try and obtain.
That is unbiblical.
As stated, there are any number of Bible verses attesting to this basic fact of Christianity. Here’s a few.
“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”
– 1 Corinthians 12:13
“But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.”
-Romans 8:9-10
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
-Ephesians 4: 4-6
There is one Spirit and one baptism. And that baptism occurs at the moment a person becomes a member of the body of Christ (not afterwards).
The only question I would have: HOW do you know it is “of God”?
There is much which is claimed today to be “of God.” How do you know?
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
–2 Corinthians 11:14-15
All that being said, once again thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
