A CITY OF IDOLS
IN A LAND OF IDOLS
The USA has become a land of idols: statues, memorials, monuments and national parks (groves where Americans go to worship nature) are everywhere to be seen. But there is one particular city where Americans go to worship in the temples built for the memory of men (“founding fathers”): Washington, D.C.
Americans didn’t always worship the founding fathers – The founding fathers are idols. If the reader finds that hard to believe, all that needs to be done is take a trip to Washington DC to see the temples and monuments dedicated to the men who helped construct modern Babylon.
IN FACT, according the inscription inside the the Lincoln Memorial, it IS a temple.
“IN THIS TEMPLE
AS IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE
FOR WHOM HE SAVED THE UNION
THE MEMORY OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN
IS ENSHRINED FOREVER”
LINCOLN MEMORIAL: Another American Idol
The Lincoln Memorial has been called a “sacred space.”
The Washington Monument is the tallest obelisk in the world. Obelisks are pagan structures, dedicated to the memory of a pagan god.
The obelisk symbolized the sun god Ra, and during the brief religious reformation of Akhenaten was said to be a petrified ray of the Aten, the sundisk. It was also thought that the god existed within the structure.
PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN
Because Americans are taught from an early age to revere all things Americans, the majority take pride in their country.
The Bible says repeatedly that pride is a sin.
“The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.”
—Psalm 10:4
“When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.”
—Proverbs 11:2
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”
—Proverbs 16:18
“The eyes of the arrogant man will be humbled and the pride of men brought low.”
—Isaiah 2:11
And in their pride, millions of Americans trek each year to Washington, DC to pay their respects to the dead: the dead founding fathers.
Washington DC, with its many monuments and temples, is truly a city of idols within a land of idols.
And Americans are proud of it.
“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.”
