Legacy: This World will Pass Away and Not be Remembered

LEGACY: What the world will remember.
LEGACY: What the world will remember.

THE LEGACY DECEPTION

LEGACY, n. Something inherited from a predecessor; a heritage

A legacy is a coin of the world.

A man’s legacy is supposedly how the world will regard that man after he is gone.  CLUE: The world is not permanent but only a temporary state of affairs. Those who put their faith and trust in the world and it’s “legacy” are bound to be disappointed.

For eternity.

Along with money, power, fame and pleasure, “legacy” is used by the world to deceive men. The deception is that man should spend his time working for the things of the world; that the things of this world have lasting value.

They do not.

The things of this present world will not only pass away, they will not be remembered by those who will remain.

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.”
Isaiah 65:17

The world cannot offer a true legacy because the world has nothing which will last. All that is in this world will pass away. All that is in the world, that the world offers, is sin.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:15-16

Regardless of what men promise, nothing of this world–including memories–will persevere.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
Revelation 21:1

Any time the reader hears of someone discussing someone’s “legacy,” the reader can be assured that this is little more than a fool’s errand. Do not waste time worrying about what the world will think of you: the world will pass away and all that is of the world will be remembered no more.

Regard not the things of this world. Those who do are headed for eternal disappointment.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:17

Altered Perception is Deception by Another Name

ALTERED PERCEPTION: Altered perception is deception by another name.
ALTERED PERCEPTION: Altered perception is deception by another name.

The end times are a times of altered perceptions. Altering perception gives the person a different (false) sense of what is happening. Altered perception is another way of saying “deception.”

And the end times are certainly a time of deception.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
Matthew 24:24

The Movement To Completely Change The Way You Get High – It’s all about “altered perception”–spiritual and otherwise.

The most common method of altering one’s perception is through the use of drugs, recreational. legal and illegal. However, drugs are merely a stepping stone; various forms of Eastern meditation are another way.  Religion is yet another.

One method of altering perception in the apostate churches is the use of loud music, drumming, “praise and worship” singing and shouting and other means of appealing to emotions and feelings.

All of this manipulating of the atmosphere has a goal: the bypassing of the mind of the person involved.

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind;”
Luke 10:27

The apostate churches, as agents of Satan, love to get the pew-sitters “in the mood.” Praise and worship most often means clapping, singing, shouting, jumping and attempting to enter into an altered perception; i.e., a deceived state of what is really taking place in the church building.

Altered Spiritual Perception: The Altered Spiritual Reality in American Churches

But revving up church-goers is not the end-all in the altered perception game.

The big breakthrough in altered perception is demonic supernatural power.

That’s really what the pros are aiming for.  And it’s what the amateurs stumble across every so often by mistake. The apostate churches disguise this supernatural power by referring to it as “the move of the Holy Spirit.”

Revelation 9:21 speaks of end times sin and man’s refusal to repent. Four end times sins are specifically mentioned.

“Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

The Greek word used for “sorceries” is pharmakeia. The Modern American Prophecy Industry has pushed the notion that pharmakeia means “drug-induced sorcery” or “sorcery using illegal drugs.”

Not really.

Pharmakeia is also translated as “witchcraft” in Galatians 5:20.  And the apostate churches are certainly full of witchcraft. According to Stong’s, pharmakeia means “medicine, drugs or sorcery.”

And America is certainly a highly-medicated country, both in the number of drugs the average American knows he is ingesting and the amount of drugs he ingests without his knowledge; i.e., which are in his environment. America leads the world in legally-obtained (prescribed) drug use.

The USA also leads the world in the number of people who receive anti-depressants.

This Is Your Brain On Magic

Altered perceptions are important in the end times.  They are important because they help contribute to the atmosphere of smothering spiritual deception which surrounds us.

Deception blinds the minds of unbelievers. Deception is a product of sin.

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
2 Corinthians 4:4

Beware of those who appeal to the emotions, to feelings, and to sin.

Finding Favor with the Lord

FAVOR OF GOD: How can we find favor with the Lord? What does the Bible say?
FAVOR OF GOD: How can we find favor with the Lord? What does the Bible say?

THE FAVOR OF GOD

If “faith” is defined as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” [Hebrews 11:1], then “favor of God” might be defined as “the evidence that God approves of a person.”

How can a believer obtain the favor of God?

Okay, so what does the Bible say about the favor of God and obtaining it?

  1. God favors those who are humble and contrite in spirit and tremble at His Word – (Isaiah 66:2)

  2. Whoever finds wisdom finds favor with the LORD (Proverbs 8:35).

  3. Who the LORD finds righteous, he covers them with His favor (Psalm 5:12).

  4. The LORD bestows favor and honor on those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11)

  5. Psalm 30:5 says that God’s anger is for a moment, but His favor is for life.

  6. Proverbs 3:1-4 says that those who keep the commandments of the Lord “find favor and good success in the eyes of the Lord and man.”

  7. The humble will find favor with the Lord (Proverbs 3:33-35).

MORE: Favor of God: How to Get the Favor of the Lord?

So basically, the Lord favors the humble, the contrite, the righteous and those who seek His wisdom.

And what is the beginning of wisdom?

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
Proverbs 9:10

END TIMES PREPARATION

The Lord delights in those who find favor with Him–and the Lord will uphold those who find favor with Him.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.”
Psalm 37:23-24

Having the favor of God should be a highly desired priority for the end times. Obtaining the favor of God ought to be part of every believer’s plan of end times preparation.

Actually, obtaining the favor of God ought to be part of the believer’s everyday living.

Does the reader have the favor of God?

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
