THE PROMISES OF THE WORLD ARE WORTHLESS
While out and about, several signs outside businesses were noticed promising “A Brand New You!” or “A New You!” One of the establishments was an exercise class, another a gym.
A brand new you? Is that possible?
“And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.”
A “brand new you” IS possible when the person becomes born again.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
When a person is born again, they become transformed. They become a new creature in Christ Jesus.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
—2 Corinthians 5:17
“A new creature” means a new nature: one that is attuned to God through His Holy Spirit, who indwells all believers. “A new creature” is absolutely a brand new you.
When the world promises a brand new you, it is like the other promises of the world: the reader cannot trust what the world offers.
But when God Almighty promises a brand new you, then the reader can depend on that promise.
For all eternity.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
