Walk with God: Never Alone when You Walk with God

WHEN YOU WALK WITH THE LORD: You never walk alone.
WHEN YOU WALK WITH THE LORD: You may not walk with other men, but you will never walk alone.

THE TRUE CHRISTIAN ROAD IS A SOLITARY ONE

The road leading to eternal salvation is a narrow way but it is not a crowded one.

“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. “
Matthew 7:14

Consequently, the road leading to destruction is broad and full of many bound for perdition.

“for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:”
Matthew 7:13

One situation the true believer has to get used to is walking alone. No matter how popular he was when he was lost and part of the world, once he is saved the true believer will not be a popular person. This is especially true in the apostate churches. As long as one is willing to swallow the lies, falsehoods and deceits spooned out by the wolves in the pulpit and their lackeys, one will be popular in the counterfeit churches.

However, as soon as one discovers the deceptions, one will increasingly walk alone and with little fellowship.

But, true believers were warned this would be so.  AND, while the godly who follow Christ Jesus may not walk with men, they DO walk with One who will never leave them.

NEVER ALONE: Though the Christian walk is lonely and it may seem like the believer is isolated, he is never alone.
NEVER ALONE: Though the Christian walk is lonely and it may seem like the believer is isolated, he is never alone.

In fact, both the Old and New Testaments contain God’s promises to never leave His people.

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
Hebrews 13:5

“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
Deuteronomy 31:8

“and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”
Matthew 28:20

Walking with God means walking in the Spirit. When the believer walks in the Spirit, then he does not walk with the world or go after the things of this world.

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:16

God not only walks with the believer and upholds him, He provides peace, love and companionship during the walk.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7

Learning to walk with God instead of the world is part of any believer’s end times preparation.

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
Amos 3:3

So, the next time the believer sees the rest of the world living it up in their lost condition, remember:

Though you may walk alone among men, there is One who will always walk beside you.

Always.

The true believer NEVER walks alone.

And that’s true for all eternity.

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
1 Corinthians 15:1-4

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
