THE MOST RIGHTEOUS MEN?
Who does God consider most righteous among men?
It would have to be someone who had great faith because without faith, we cannot please God.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
—Hebrews 11:6
That being said, who is mentioned in Hebrews 11, the “Faith Chapter?”
Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sara, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses and Rahab are all mentioned and expounded upon. But the three men God found most righteous can be found in Ezekiel 14.
“Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it: Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.”
—Ezekiel 14:13-14
Daniel (“for thou art greatly beloved“), Noah (“Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God“) and Job (“was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.“) were the three men used by God Himself as examples of righteousness.
“Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.”—Ezekiel 14:20
Noah, Daniel and Job were the three men God used for examples of righteousness among men.
