Satan’s Apostate Workers: Dragging the Unwary to Damnation

MINISTERS OF APOSTASY: Dragging the unwary to damnation.
MINISTERS OF APOSTASY: Dragging the unwary to damnation.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

BEWARE!

The ministers of the devil are everywhere in the end times, but they are especially prevalent in the apostate churches. Ever smiling, ever pleasant: they always have a hand out to drag the unwary into damnation.

“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, fashioning themselves into apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for even Satan fashioneth himself into an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his ministers also fashion themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.”
2 Corinthians 11:13-15

And the devil’s ministers have missions, just as the righteous do.

However, their missions are to ensnare those who are easily distracted and misled.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
1 Peter 5:8

One of the enemy’s favorite schemes is to offer the lost another gospel, one that does not save–all the while pretending  the lost are  now saved.

Another is to convince the lost that they have plenty of time left; that they have plenty of opportunities for salvation.

Two examples from the last 24 hours.

NO SUBSTITUTE FOR THE GOSPEL

At a new church, a pamphlet is unveiled for newcomers. It contains something headlined “The A-B-C’s of Salvation.

Except it doesn’t contain the gospel message, which is the power of salvation.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

The gospel message is a simple one:

  1. Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;
  2. He was buried; and
  3. He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

Simple, huh?

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
1 Corinthians 15:1-4

But somehow, some way, the apostate churches ALWAYS leave out part of the gospel message. They ALWAYS preach another gospel.  Their other gospel has no power to save. Tragically, many false converts believe their crude imitation.

To their eternal doom.

God will hold the apostates accountable.

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
Galatians 1:8-9

Romans 10:9 is a very good Scripture. However, it is NOT the gospel message as it contains nothing of Jesus dying for our sins. Paul did not intend for Romans 10:9 to be a substitute for the gospel.

Likewise for John 3:16.  It is perhaps one of the most known Christian Scriptures.  However, it is NOT the gospel and it is no substitute for the gospel.

Yet apostates offer all of these and other combinations as offering “salvation.”

Still another substitute is the old reliable of “Letting Jesus live in your heart” or “letting Jesus into your heart” and attempting to cobble a salvation message from Revelation 3:20.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20

Revelation 3:20 has nothing to do with offering salvation to the lost.  It is an invitation to those in an apostate church to repent.

There is no substitute for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

LIFE IS NOT FULL OF SECOND CHANCES

“behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation”
2 Corinthians 6:2

The second example comes from an email received.

It is from an “deceitful worker” and offers the devil’s bargain of there always being plenty of time to make a decision for Jesus Christ; of there always being a “second chance” at eternal salvation.

Do people who get left behind from the Rapture still have a second chance to get saved afterwards? This question only applies to individuals who have heard the good news about Jesus Christ before He comes to Rapture His Bride, the Church, up to heaven. They need a second chance after the Rapture because they did not become believers beforehand. This now or never teaching primarily comes from what I believe is an erroneous interpretation of 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12. This article presents a host of reasons to believe that people do receive a second chance at salvation.

“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

ALL who receive the strong delusion; ALL who did not have a love for the truth: ALL are damned.

NONE receive a “second chance” because no one knows when God will send His delusion.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion: we had account in the former verse of such as are deceived by the man of sin, of their sin, and here of their punishment. They were first deluded, which was their sin; and God sends them strong delusion, and that is their punishment. They did not receive the truth in the love of it, which was their sin; and therefore are given up to believe a lie, which is their punishment. Had they received the truth aright, they might have been saved; but not receiving it, they are damned. And they were said to be such as perish, and their perishing is here called damnation.
Matthew Poole’s Commentary

Whenever the foolish who waited (who are then damned) appear before God, perhaps they can call upon this man, this deceitful worker,  to defend them.

“I was told I had a second chance!”

Again, God will hold this man (and all who preach similar unBiblical messages) accountable.

“but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully;”
2 Corinthians 4:2
