A MODERN FABLE
Of all of the fables foisted on the public by the antichrist Left Behind series, the two worst have to be the ‘pre-tribulation rapture‘ and the ‘seven-year tribulation period.’
The Bible is quite clear that a future period of 3 1/2 years (not seven) will be full of tribulation.
TRIBULATION: Christians Experience Tribulation Every Day
TRIBULATION: What is Tribulation?
It is equally as clear as to when the catching away (rapture) takes place.
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
—1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
All those confused Americans (and it is mainly Americans who believe this particular fable) have to do to determine the timing of the rapture is to find in the Bible when the dead in Christ are raised.
(HINT: Jesus tells us FOUR TIMES in John 6.)
The dead are raised on the “last day” when Jesus returns.
To believe in a pre-tribulation rapture requires a belief that Jesus will return more than once. The deceived get around this with semantics (that words do not mean what they clearly mean). But God’s Word is very clear: Jesus returns once more at which time the dead in Christ shall rise, believers remaining alive shall be raptured and God’s enemies will mourn at the sight of Jesus Christ returning.
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
—Matthew 24:29-30
The pre-tribulation rapture story is gnostic in origin.
ONE BODY: Gnostic Teachings in American Churches Divide the Body of Christ
Gnosticism always attempts to split the body of Christ into two parts. According to the fable, those who are petrified at the idea of laying down their lives for Jesus will be in heaven celebrating–while those overcomers who willingly lose their lives for Jesus are said to be losers who are “left behind.”
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
—Revelation 12:11
“Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.”
—Luke 17:33
Those clinging to the pre-tribulation rapture story spend much time explaining away the many, many Bible verses which contradict their flesh-pleasing myth.
Such as the verses which clearly say where God’s elect are during this time.
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”
—Matthew 24:22
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
—Matthew 24:24
All those who believe in the pre-tribulation rapture fable (and there are those who are genuinely deceived, as opposed to those who knowingly spread this deception) are being set up to experience maximum, future fear when their unbiblical escapism doesn’t materialize.
In fact, those believing in a pre-tribulation rapture are being set up to eventually deny that the rapture takes place at all. When they find themselves on earth instead of being sucked up to heaven, many will claim there is no rapture at all. They will be assisted in these claims by the workers of iniquity.
There is a rapture. It occurs at Jesus’ second coming. Just as the Bible has always declared.
However, God Word warned of the times in which we now live and what church-goers will choose to believe.
“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
—2 Timothy 4:4
Much more could easily be written on this subject, but the pew-sitter who is deceived on this simple point (which is so easily checked with any Bible) will not likely heed what God’s Word says.
The apostates claim that there is “disagreement among Christians” over the “timing of the rapture.”
There is no disagreement among Christians. There is promoted disagreement among the counterfeits and tares. God’s Word is plain.
The pre-tribulation rapture is the perfect story for the flesh-pleasing, apostate church-goer of today who prefers Left Behind over God’s Word.
But, it’s still not yet too late.
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
THE GOSPEL
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

I liked it until I ran into this: The apostates claim that there is “disagreement among Christians” over the “timing of the rapture.”
There is no disagreement among Christians. There is promoted disagreement among the counterfeits and tares. God’s Word is plain.
The pre-tribulation rapture is the perfect story for the flesh-pleasing, apostate church-goer of today who prefers Left Behind over God’s Word.
Seems to me (and I may be wrong) that the author believes that this doctrine is central to a separation between a ‘true believer’ and an ‘apostate’. While apostates do exist, the determination of apostasy is the rejection of the ‘Gospel’ message after fully understanding it and, at one time, partaking of it and not necessarily in the disagreement of a still speculative theological stand.
By what the author stated, I am assuming the author is a post tribulationist. A possible problem with this specific belief would be that a post tribulation rapture would disallow the continuation of the sinful human race thereby making Revelation 20:7-9 impossible to complete, Not that this is the sum of the doctrinal stand of pre and mid tribulationist but just an example of the speculative nature of all three possibilities (pre, mid, and post) and not necessarily a belief that would cause one to be guilty of apostasy.

Raul Lopez,
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment.
You are 100 percent correct on this point.
“Christians” should read “church-goers.”
NOTE: Upon re-reading, you misquoted the article. What was written was:
“THE APOSTATES CLAIM that there is “disagreement among Christians” over the “timing of the rapture.”
No, the “rapture” is not a litmus test between apostates or true believers. It is merely one more proof of whether or not the Bible is foolishness to that person.
Your definition of “apostate” seems so limiting, it’s wondered then how the whole apostate earth comes to worship the dragon?
Apostate comes from ‘apostasia‘ (rebellion, revolt), the apostasy will be a revolt against God and His Word.
Very simply put, apostates are those who rebel against God and His Word.
The author(s) are neither pre-, post-, mid- or the advocate of any doctrine which ties what’s popularly taught about the rapture to what’s also been popularly taught about a seven-year tribulation. What the Bible says about the rapture is very succinct and easy to understand. It does not depend on a fictional seven-year period taught as “The Tribulation.”
You are right about the various promoted rapture doctrinal disagreements being “promoted disagreements.” Just because all of the promoted disagreements are false does not mean that EVERY view on the rapture is “speculative.”
Our doctrine of the rapture can summed up fairly easily.
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.”
–Mark 13:24-27

Correction on my last comment: please change ‘tribulationist’ to ‘rapturist’… Depending on the timeline believed, a pre mid or post tribulationist is much different than a pre mid or post rapturist. In my last comment, I mean to say ‘rapturist’ and not tribulationist.
