TRIBULATION: Christians Experience Tribulation Every Day

TRIBULATION: IF you are a Christian, you are already in tribulation.

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
Acts 14:22

TRIBULATION

Of all of the fables foisted on the public by the antichrist Left Behind series, the two worst have to be the ‘pre-tribulation rapture‘ and the ‘seven-year tribulation period.’

RAPTURE: The Bible is Clear on the Rapture

The Bible is quite clear that a future period of 3 1/2 years (not seven) will be full of tribulation.

In the original Greek, tribulation means “pressure” or “constriction” or the “feeling of no escape.” The Christian should be very aware of tribulation.

Because those who are Christians are acutely aware of those constricted, “no-escape” feelings every day.

Acts 14:22 tells us that Christians will enter the kingdom of God “through much tribulation.”

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
Acts 14:22

Do you believe yourself to be a Christian?

Are you going through “much tribulation?

IF the answer is “no” or “not really,” perhaps you ought to make your calling and election sure?

The true Christian is not looking ahead anxiously to any imaginary 7-year period known as “The Tribulation.”

The true Christian experiences tribulation every single day right now.

It comes from being locked in an alien world of sin, the celebration of sin and the choice between  “compromise with the world or be hated.”

And the only way out of this situation is death.  Either the physical death of the believer OR the spiritual death which would come with compromise with the enemies of God and His Anointed, Jesus Christ.

So, tribulation is there every day and there’s zero chance of compromise for the believer.

However, believers know that in the midst of tribulation, the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ is both a sanctuary and a welcome relief.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

[NOTE: This does not mean that the workers of iniquity will not counterfeit a future 7-year period of woe.  On the contrary, they most likely will. It’s also likely the man of sin will be introduced at the end of this period.

After all, the mystery of iniquity hasn’t spent time, money and resources over the last 180 years deceiving the masses on this point.  BUT, the real three-and-a-half-year period of tribulation noted in God’s Word will still be awaiting at the end of of their seven years.]

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
