“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”
RUSSIA: Putin Derides `Weak’ U.S. Policy – It foreign policy, pro wrestling-style!
Vladimir Putin has been yammering away at the USA lately. It would be easy to say “He ought to be on TV!”
But the Russia leader lives on the tube.
HUNGARY: Hungary says fence finished on Croatian border – To keep immigrants out.
Apparently the Hungarians don’t have a well-oiled machine nagging them: “A fence won’t work!”
ISRAEL: Israelis invest in guns to stop knife attacks – Don’t bring a knife to a gunfight.
AFGHANISTAN: Obama again delays troop withdrawal from Afghanistan
Ben Carson is following Jimmy Carter’s presidential playbook – No, Ben, no!
Democratic National Committeewoman says her party is ‘clearing a path’ for Hillary because ‘the women in charge’ want it that way – Why is it that so-called “political animals” do so many totally unpolitical actions?
Joe Biden’s family says yes — will he? – How long do readers believe the Corporate Media will string out this “Joe Biden might run for president” thing?
“They were keeping a spare podium open for Joe Biden in case he decided to enter the race at the last minute, as if he’s going to walk in and shock everyone like a Spanish soap opera or something.”
Winners and losers in the first Democratic debate – You watch, the Corporate Media decides.
To Fight Global Warming, EPA Targets Chemicals For Fridges, Air Conditioners – Must have been reason we were treated to last month’s spate of “We use too much air conditioning!” stories.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
-—1 Corinthians 1:18-19
Tammy Dixon saw the body and said, “Just put my hands over my face and said, ‘This can’t be happening here, it’s not real, and I just didn’t see what I thought I saw.'”
What do we really know about Osama bin Laden’s death? – In America, the list of subjects that question applies is nearly endless.
But who wants to really know the answers?
Not 99 percent of Americans.
OR 99.9 percent of church-goers.
Did Astronomers Find Evidence of an Alien Civilization? (Probably Not. But Still Cool.) – Every day brings more chatter about ET and alien civilizations.
And the talk is coming from government, from the Corporate Media and from science.
So basically, it’s all coming from the same place.
Astronomers May Have Found Evidence of Aliens In Our Galaxy! – This media piece is a bit more enthusiastic.
Citizen scientists catch cloud of comets orbiting distant star – This throws a bit of cold water on the previous story.
“Playboy magazine is going to stop publishing nude photos of women starting next year. So now if you want to see a naked woman you’ll have to go to HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, the Internet, Burning Man, a PETA protest, perfume ads, or ESPN The Magazine.”
Help! My parents are Millennials – One way to keep people from noticing their lives are a complete wreck is to concentrate on another group of people who are worse off.
It doesn’t really matter if the other IS really worse off or not.
As long as the reader gets to feel superior to somebody, anybody, his day is not a complete loss.
Crushing Up Pain Pills And Spitting Out Lives In West Virginia Coal Country – Drugs are one of the four big sins of the end times.
Five, counting idolatry.
“Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
(The Greek word, pharmakōn, can be translated as either “sorcery” or “medicine” (drugs), or “poison.”
Either of the three words make sense given what we see every day in the world around us.
All that being said, this story does the usual: it finds the worst dregs of society and tries to pass them off as “Not that there’s anything wrong with that.”
As a final note: right before the government “cracks down” (almost always on the law-abiding) on drugs, the media runs the most gruesome stories about “addiction” it can find.
IF you are a senior citizen on pain medication, this is your warning.
MEDIA NARRATIVES ALERT
“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.
“Things are never quite what they seem. Events are seldom close to how the media and history portray them.”
Smartphones could be worse for your skin than the sun – Smartphones could be worse than cigarettes.
And look how long it took the government/media/medicine to declare smoking was bad for a person.
It’s only been 50 years since the Surgeon General said “Don’t smoke.”
60 years ago, doctors were still lighting up in cigarette advertisements and telling people what brand they enjoyed the most.
“More doctors smoke Camels than any other cigarette!”
Ebola nurse Pauline Cafferkey’s rapid decline after being ‘cured’ leaves experts staggered – So, was she cured or not?
Sex Ed Lesson: ‘Yes Means Yes,’ but It’s Tricky – Ever wonder why so many things that used to be black-and-white are so “tricky?”
The mystery of iniquity LOVES vague meaning. It makes lying easier.
The events in this story have more in common with witchcraft than it does Christianity…
We’re learning more about the CIA ‘cover-up’ surrounding JFK’s assassination – Here’s the formula: they tell you a bit of the truth to sell you a lie.
