“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
—Matthew 7:22-23
- Who is it that claims to have cast out devils in the name of Jesus?
- Who is it that claims to have prophesied in the name of Jesus?
- Who is it that claims to have done many wonderful works in the name of Jesus?
ANSWER: It is the people who populate the churches. The people in the world are doing NOTHING in the name of Jesus. It is the people who congregate in churches who claim to have done all of these things.
But Jesus calls them workers of iniquity.
And He says He NEVER knew them.
LORD, LORD: Who is Crying Lord, Lord?
The workers of iniquity embedded in the churches believe they are invisible. But they are seen and their hearts are known to Jesus.
He even warns them in His Word.
And so, regardless of their begging and pleadings on that day, Jesus will judge and God’s Word declares they will go to eternal destruction.
There will be no pretenders on that day. All that is hidden will be known. All that people think is hidden will be revealed.
“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”
—Luke 12:2-5
Don’t be one of the ones shouting “Lord Lord.”
NOW is the time for grace. NOW is the time for mercy. On that day, there will be judgment only.
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
THE GOSPEL
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
