Loss of Freedom and Liberty: The Invisible Slavery of Sin

Americans Losing their Freedom and Don’t Know Why

“Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever practices sin is the slave of sin.”
—John 8:36

Modern man is terribly deceived.

One of the greatest deceptions: that as he has sunk deeper and deeper into the slavery of sin, the mystery of iniquity has used all its available tools (the media, entertainment, science, government, etc.) to convince him that he is free.

For years, drugs (both prescribed and recreational) and propaganda have helped cover up man’s slavery.

“There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution”
—Aldous Huxley, 1962

Also, a wide variety of amusements (sports, entertainment, video games, etc.) have helped distract man from his chains.

However, as we near the climax of history, man’s servitude is becoming harder and harder to hide. Americans grumble about their “freedoms being taken away,” but the truth is: Americans have always been in bondage to sin. It’s only become more apparent in the times in which we now live.

Sin has been encouraged by the government because slaves are easier to control than free men.

In their pride, many Americans believe they have the answers. But Satan and his minions have been playing this game for centuries.

“The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights by a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible reductions. In this way, the people will not see those rights and freedoms being removed until past the point at which these changes cannot be reversed.”

Many Americans have become partially aware that they have lost their liberty, but because they are deceived they lay the blame on the wrong culprits.

Though many blame the government, the true cause of their vanishing freedom is SIN.

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
–2 Corinthians 3:17

Sin is a prison.

It is a prison for one’s mind.

It is a prison for one’s soul.

It is a prison for one’s spirit.

Eventually, sin becomes a prison for one’s physical body as well.

Sin is an invisible prison the prisoner enters because he is conned into thinking it is something it is not (usually ‘fun‘).

The truth is: most will reject this thesis.

And those will be the ones screaming the loudest for ‘solutions’ to their slavery which will not work because their solutions do not address the root cause of the problem.

Some of their ‘solutions:

• A constitutional convention;
• A Second American Revolution;
• More laws and regulations to ‘keep us safe‘;
• Getting the government ‘off our backs‘;
• Changing leaders: hoping the next election will fix the problem(s);
• Making more money;
• Spending less money on taxes and government.

The list goes on and on and on…

What IS the solution?

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
—John 8:32

What is the truth?

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
—John 8:36

The Bible says that most men will reject this solution and continue in their slavery. This slavery will eventually lead them to destruction eternally.

“for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat”
—Matthew 7:13

(NOTE: This is not an appeal for the churches: the churches are part of the same system which is tightening its noose around the deceived.)

So if the churches are part of the problem, how is one to break free of the slavery of sin?

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8

However, time is growing short.

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

The reader has nothing to lose but his chains.
