“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
—Revelation 9:20-21
The climax of human history will be an extremely dark and evil time. For 3 1/2 years, as God will allows man full reign to his “humanity,” sin and wickedness will prevail over the entire earth. During this time, man will be left largely to his own devices.
Until Jesus returns to right things.
ALL sin will be evident during this 42-month period, but the Bible declares that wicked men will cling to five sins in particular.
Those five great end times sins of which man refuses to repent (even after being smitten with repeated judgments of God) are
- Idolatry
- murders
- sorceries
- fornication
- thefts
This article addresses MURDER, one of the end times’ FIVE GREAT SINS (according to Revelation 9:20-21).
MURDER
Official statistics say: murder is less. Violent crime is less. Crime is less.
Does that sound right?
- Crime, murder rates hold steady in 2015
- Violent crime and murder are half of what they used to be
- About those rising murder rates: not so fast
It’s been argued that statistics are merely another, more effective way to lie.
IF one is told “Murder and crime are less than they used to be” one might be skeptical. BUT, if one says “STATISTICS SAY murder is less than it used to be.”
Who will argue?
However, in this case perhaps the statistics are right.
But whenever innocent blood is shed, God takes notice.
“Thou shalt not kill.”
—Exodus 20:13
IF ANY shedding of human blood is bad, how much worse is murder? Murder is any time a life is snuffed out prematurely on purpose.
“He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.”
—Exodus 21:12
The churches have been on a PR campaign to change “Thou shalt not KILL” to “Thou shalt not MURDER.” It’s apparent to anyone who does much Bible study: God does not condone ANY shedding of human blood.
God requires a judgment for all who kill other humans, not just for murder.
“Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”
—Genesis 9:6
Many Americans believe it’s a murder only when there’s no attempt to cover it up or to give it another name. But in America (as elsewhere), murders aren’t just those actions many think of as ‘murder.’
Murder in the end times has many different names.
Abortion, contract killings, sudden infant death syndrome, drone strikes, suicides, miscarriages, serial murder, mysterious deaths, “death with dignity”: the list goes on and on and on…
[NOTE: The above activities are not perfectly synonymous with murder; but many times, murder is masked by claiming one of the above activities.]
A lot of murders get misreported as something else. Sometimes, that ‘something else’ sounds fairly innocuous.
Apparently, it is so common-place, men in the end times do not think they have to repent of murder.
MURDER is one of the five great sins of the end times from which men will not repent–even when faced with the many judgments of God.
Do not be deceived.
Change your direction in life: repent today.

THE GOSPEL
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
