When the World Loves Lies, Truth Will be Hated

An Army of NO: Rejecting the truth, preferring lies.
A LOVE OF THE LIE: Most living in the end times comprise an Army of No Truth.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”
–2 Timothy 4:3-4

TRUTH IS RARE IN A WORLD OF LIES

Was recently reminded of the following comment on a media article, ‘Everything We have been Taught about our Origins is a Lie.’ The comment was a response to a previous comment recommending the Bible as a source of truth.

“Wow, how do you manage to shove religion into this? Fictional books hold no answers.”

“What a truly deceived, totally indoctrinated person. He just finished an article detailing reasons why what he has been taught is a lie, yet he refuses to even consider any other sources as valid EXCEPT those who already have admitted lying to him.”
End Times Prophecy Headlines: January 26, 2015

Hard to single out the commenter: he’s the end times rule, not the exception. People who have been fed a steady diet of lies have no appreciation of, appetite for or method of discerning the truth.

To a people who have been indoctrinated that ALL opinions and ALL viewpoints are equally valid, what does it matter if one speaks the truth or not?

In the end times, the whole world is deceived.

“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world;”
–Revelation 12:9

Little wonder men in the end times are deceived. They are constantly bombarded with lies: from the media, from their sports, in their churches, in their entertainment, books, advertising, politics, science; even their personal relationships.

Most have their heads hooked up to a non-stop, 24/7 sewer pipe of deceit.

Men do not want to know the truth. Having been offered the truth of God’s Word, men prefer the lies of the world.

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
–John 3:19

Not only do men not want the truth, they will hate anyone who attempts to tell them the truth.

Truth is hate to those who hate the truth.

Therefore, because they don’t really care if a thing is true or not; because they do not have the love of the truth; because they are used to believing lies, God will send them ‘strong delusion’ to ensure they will continue believing the lies that condemn them.

“and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
–2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

Falsehoods surround modern man. Every single bit of what he believes is tainted with lies. The only source of truth is the Bible, but men have been indoctrinated to automatically reject the truth.

A few will question their indoctrination and pursue the truth.

Most will not.

Concerning the truth, many are timid. Truth creates discomfort among those who live in deception.

So many aspects of life in the modern world simply ‘do not add up.’ Most do not look too deeply into these issues, preferring to be lied to as they “live their life.”

And so, they will be.

Any number of secular articles and websites urge readers to  “Wake up!

Without a source of truth, there will be no awakening.

Anyone who argues otherwise is immersed in one more lie.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
–John 17:17

Truth or lies?

The time for making a choice is growing short.

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Satan is a Walker

SATAN IS A WALKER

“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
–Job 1:6-7

GOING ABOUT HIS BUSINESS

Satan is a walker.

Satan–the devil, the dragon, the accuser of the brethren, the seducer of men, the serpent–is always on the prowl. Like the wicked, he is ever restless, never at peace.

“But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. “There is no peace,” Says my God, “for the wicked.”
–Isaiah 57:20-21

Some claim that Satan is an invention of the Christian Church.

That is an easy lie to disprove. Centuries before the Christian Church appeared, there were already numerous records of Satan.  The Book of Job is only one of them.

Many who claim Satan does not exist know better. However, some who make this claim may just be repeating what they have heard.

Satan is fine with either way: he has already added those people’s souls to his catch. Let them cling to their foolishness.

As long as they don’t get away.

“Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
–Job 2:1-2

Why does Satan constantly walk the earth?

In this is described the nature of Satan, which is always seeking his prey,
1599 Geneva Bible

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
–1 Peter 5:8

Regardless of what the foolish claim, Satan is a walker.

The multitudes of foolish men are generally easy to snare. Eager to barter their eternities for baubles and trinkets: a little money here, a little control there.

Since the dawn of creation, Satan has always walked in his pursuit of souls.

Because he has never had to run.

Do Not Look Back: Time is Too Short

DON'T LOOK BACK: Remember Lot's wife.
DON’T LOOK BACK: Remember Lot’s wife.

“The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar. Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.

But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.”
–Genesis 19:23-26

Don’t look back.

An important point to remember for anyone who becomes a member of the kingdom of heaven. There’s nothing back there; only sin, death and bad times.

Sometimes, the temptation is to harken back to simpler times: to times before one knew how wicked this present world really was.

But again, why look back? There’s nothing back there. The best that can be said of those times is that one didn’t know how prevalent evil was.

One was ignorant, blind and deceived.

“Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife.”
–Luke 17:30-42

The further one gets along in one’s ‘Christian walk,’ the less appeal looking back has for ANY REASON.

Would one go back? Back to deception, death and eternal destruction? Upon what is there to look back?

Looking ahead, one anticipates a short season of tribulation and persecution in this world, a concurrent short season of service and THEN: an eternal life of peace and divine fellowship.

Don’t look back: time is too short.

Concentrate on the tasks at hand, of which there are many–and the time is very short.

“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.”
–John 9:4

Don’t look back.

All that is back there is another man’s lost and broken life: long past gone and better to be forgotten.

But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
–Luke 9:62
