PART THREE: 10 MORE OBSERVATIONS ON CONSPIRACY THEORIES

“Conspiracy theories” have been in the news lately as the alleged source of hate, extremism, violence and hate groups.

What is it about believing an alternate version of events (which differs from the official version provided by the media/government) that sets the intelligentsia ablaze with anger, hate, scorn and all of the other emotions they ascribe to conspiracy theorists?

With that in mind, gathered from discussions held and notes scribbled over the last five-six months, here are ten more observations on conspiracy theories.

1 – Conspiracy theories are not a problem, regardless of what men would claim otherwise.

Conspiracy theories are alternate explanations which account for the facts in a more believable way than the official versions promoted by the media/government.

However, conspiracy theories (alternate explanations) are not likely to originate from the herd. They begin when those who still think for themselves assemble what is known about an event and compare it to the official explanations.

Because genuine (as opposed to false, planted) conspiracy theories demonstrate a willingness to think for oneself, the people who believe these alternate explanations ARE dangerous to those who demand blind obedience.

Which is a primary reason the state will usually preach against such alternate explanations.

2 – As conspiracy theories are not a problem, so too are they not a solution.

The same persons who conspire also take into account that some will not believe their cover stories. Consequently, these persons are likely to plant false conspiracy theories in the media.

These fabricated, false “conspiracy theories” are fairly easy to spot:

1. They are meant to sound ridiculous;
2. They contradict others who have conducted their own independent research;
3. They lead the reader further from the real truth by loading up the piece with deception and lies;
4. They use a person’s interest in an alternate explanation to lead that person further from the truth;
5. And, they contain known lies and claims which the general reader already knows to be untrue.

This is done to 1) discredit a particular non-official version of events; and, 2) to throw doubt on conspiracy theories in general.

One example of this tactic: Is there a pistol on the red planet? Conspiracy theorists claim to have spotted hand gun on Martian surface

Secret Chambers, Grain Silos and the Long, Long History of Pyramid Conspiracy Theories – “Conspiracy theories” are any explanations which are contrary to the official government/media/history/science versions.

That being said, VERY FREQUENTLY the mystery of iniquity invents ridiculous conspiracy theories (and promotes them in its Corporate Media) in order to discredit any who have done serious research into the alternate explanations.

A blind belief in conspiracy theories as a source of the truth is just as flawed as a blind belief in the information the media and government provide.

3 – The fable “Conspiracy theories cannot be true because someone would talk and the conspiracy would become known” is a lie promoted by those who engage in conspiracy.

Another version of this lie is “No one can keep a secret.”

In the past, the US government has engaged in conspiracies spanning years (decades) and involving hundreds (thousands) of people.

The Manhattan Project was a conspiracy to develop the atomic bomb before and during World War II. It involved thousands of people, more than 30 locations scattered across a number of states and Canada and culminated with setting off of atomic weapons in New Mexico.

And yet, the American public was completely in the dark until after the Project was over–EVEN THOUGH ATOMIC BOMBS WERE SET OFF IN THE USA ITSELF.

The general public only found out about this 1939-46 conspiracy AFTER the fact when the information was released to the public months after atomic weapons were used on Japan.

A 1945 Life article estimated that before the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings “probably no more than a few dozen men in the entire country knew the full meaning of the Manhattan Project, and perhaps only a thousand others even were aware that work on atoms was involved.” The magazine wrote that the more than 100,000 others employed with the project “worked like moles in the dark”.

Although the bombs’ existence was public, secrecy continued, and many workers remained ignorant of their jobs; one stated in 1946, “I don’t know what the hell I’m doing besides looking into a ——— and turning a ——— alongside a ———. I don’t know anything about it, and there’s nothing to say”.

Another US government conspiracy was the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, in which the U.S. Public Health Service infected hundreds of black men with syphilis and left them untreated to study the ravages of the disease.

These experiments lasted 40 years (1932-1972) before they became public in the early 1970s and ceased.

5 – The Corporate Media has ratcheted up the tone against alternate explanations, claiming a link (however casually) between violence, extremism, hate groups and “conspiracy theories.”

“Recent events suggest they are. Robert Dear, who allegedly killed three and injured nine at the Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs on Nov. 28, 2015, had a history of spouting anti-government conspiracy theories. He encouraged his neighbors to install metal roofing on their homes to prevent the government from spying on them.”
—People who believe in conspiracy theories are more likely to endorse violence

“The SPLC [Southern Poverty Law Center] found that the number of hate groups operating in 2015 was 14 percent higher than in 2014. Antigovernment “Patriot” groups – armed militias and others animated by conspiracy theories – also grew 14 percent during the same period.”

“They and untold thousands like them are the extremists who hide among us, the right-wing militants who, since 2002, have killed more people in the United States than jihadis have. In that time, according to New America, a Washington think tank, Islamists launched nine attacks that murdered 45, while the right-wing extremists struck 18 times, leaving 48 dead. These Americans thrive on hate and conspiracy theories, many fed to them by politicians and commentators who blithely blather about government concentration camps and impending martial law and plans to seize guns and other dystopian gibberish, apparently unaware there are people listening who don’t know it’s all lies.”

6 – There is no shorthand for the truth.

Just as the truth is not to be found in the official periodicals or publications of men, the truth will not be found in the periodicals and publications of the so-called “conspiracy press.”

In the times in which we live (as always) the lone source of the truth (as hard as it may be for the worldly to accept) is God’s Word.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

Many men have been indoctrinated against the truth from an early age. These men will either fight against this conditioning, think for themselves, make a thorough examination, and cry out to God OR they will perish.

“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

7 –

“[The] not-so-novel idea “IF you believe in conspiracies, you are one kooky person!”…is an idea that is endlessly promoted by the world: the very phrase “conspiracy theorist” is a worldly one–as is the image of the person wearing a hat made of tinfoil to ward off evil radio waves, sound waves, waves of grain, whatever.”

8 – As deception grows more intense, the use of the term “conspiracy theory” by the media/government/entertainment is likely to increase and grow more strident.

This will occur because “conspiracy theory” is a blatant attempt to control the conversation. When the reader sees this term, he can know it is an attempt to put an end to whatever topic is being discussed.

9 – Because of the times in which we live, there likely will be no attempt to rebrand the term “conspiracy theory.”

There simply isn’t enough time.

10 – Using “Conspiracy theory” as a tool to control opponents is a fairly recent happening.

This history of using “conspiracy theory” to denigrate an opponent and his ideas is, like so many things, is a product of the last 50 years.

For years, “conspiracy theory” was neutral in tone, having neither a good or bad connotation.

According to John Ayoto’s 20th century words, the phrase “conspiracy theory” was originally a neutral term and only acquired a pejorative connotation in the mid 1960s, implying that the advocate of the theory has a paranoid tendency to imagine the influence of some powerful, malicious, covert agency in events.

Does the reader want the source of all truth?

Or is the reader already conditioned against the truth?

There is still yet time to change your direction.
