“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge:”
–Proverbs 1:7
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:”
–Proverbs 9:10
“For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD”
–Proverbs 1:29
Modern man has absolutely no fear of the LORD.
And so, modern man is without wisdom, without knowledge and delusional about the world around him.
Because modern man has no fear of the LORD, modern man forfeits the many promises of those who fear the LORD: wisdom, knowledge, safety, instruction, confidence, peace, deliverance, long life here on earth and eternal life and joy afterwards, satisfaction, riches, honor and life.
“The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom;”
–Proverbs 15:33
“The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.”
–Proverbs 10:27
“In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.”
–Proverbs 14:26
“The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.”
–Proverbs 14:27
“The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.”
–Proverbs 19:23
“By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.”
–Proverbs 22:4
“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
–Proverbs 29:25
“The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”
–Psalm 34:7
The pagan churches teach that the fear of the LORD is not really fear. They teach that the fear of the LORD is really an “awe” or “reverence.”
This is wrong.
Very wrong.
…we can know that the fear of the LORD is referring to a healthy fear FOR BELIEVERS by referring to what Jesus said. He is VERY specific of what fear means. Jesus refers to being “afraid,” not in awe or reverence.
“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”
—Luke 12:4-5Luke is very succinct and precise in his account.
So that NONE would misunderstand, Jesus added at the end “yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”
Once more: The fear of the LORD is the fear of the LORD.
—Fear of the LORD: Fear is Fear
Modern man has been taught that God Almighty is a story, like one of the many stories modern man is told by those who hate Jesus Christ and God Almighty.
And so, modern man is deceived and without wisdom. YET, modern man has been told he is very clever and smart.
This makes modern man feel VERY good about himself as he lives out his tedious, tortuous life without the fear of the LORD.
Once more: modern man has absolutely no fear of the LORD.
And so the land has no knowledge, no wisdom, no fear of the LORD: only lies, fables, falsehoods and delusions masquerading as the truth.
“The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.”
–Psalm 36:1
But a day of reckoning is coming: the Day of the LORD.
On that day, modern man will finally understand the fear of the LORD–but it will be too late to save modern man.
“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.”
–Proverbs 2:5
Does the reader follow good or evil?
Does the reader have a fear of the LORD?
“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.”
–Proverbs 16:6
The time is fast approaching when such a fear will be necessary for eternal survival.
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.“
–Romans 3:10-18

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
