One of the deceptions of the end times is the media POLL.
Polls CLAIM to measure “public opinion;” to somehow put a number to what the average person is thinking. IN a land which has been taught to worship “FEEDBACK,” polls are a sort of bible: believed on faith (in the newspaper, in the media, in the politician) in whoever is employing the poll numbers.

Polls (whether media, political and other) are productions of whoever it is who needs them. A poll will say whatever the person paying for it wants it to say.
They are fictions, fairy tales and falsehoods.
Using poll numbers, a Corporate Media writer can show support for the most absurd, bizarre or anti-social behaviors, attitudes or persons.

How many times has a reader read a poll’s claims and thought “People surely can’t be that stupid. I can’t believe it!” OR “That can’t possibly be right”
One of the ways polls work is to give readers a little feeling of secret, smug “moral superiority.”
“Well! The world must be going to hell in a hand basket, but not me! I would never do that! Most people REALLY are animals.”
Because the reader is flattered and feels superior, he accepts the basic claim of the poll.
Polls numbers are produced for several reasons.
1- They provide support for whatever narrative the writer concocted. Doesn’t matter how ludicrous the narrative, a poll will be produced showing that there are voters, Americans or respondents who are FOR the very narrative on which the writer is working. (Or, against it, as the case may be).
How many times have political polls been attacked for being wrong. Always as wrong because of incompetence or manipulation other circumstance.
NEVER are they wrong because they have been made up from whole cloth.

2- Polls are intended to isolate those readers who have contrary notions. Does the Corporate Media suggest that anyone over the age of 75 be killed? Well, poll numbers will be eventually produced showing a “majority” of Americans support that point of view.
“Gee, I guess I’m the only one who thinks a bullet to the head for grandma is a bad idea?!?”

3- Polls give those who are wavering about bad behavior a reason to “join the crowd.” This one comes from the “Everyone else is doing it so why can’t I?” school of thought.
A newspaper publishes a poll which claims 74.6 percent of Americans eat with their hands. Believing this, one Sunday at dinner Cousin Clem tackles his mashed potatoes and gravy with his bare hands. When the rest of the family looks astonished, Clem will say “What? Three out of four Americans eat with their hands.” IF he needs, he drags out the media poll for support.
In this way, all sorts of bad behaviors are validated because “Everyone else is doing it and I have “scientific” proof!”
4- Polls do not so much as measure public opinion as shape it. Polls are a tool: a tool used to herd the public in the way the mystery of iniquity wishes it to go.
Poll numbers are a way to overcome the natural conservative impulses in the general population whenever a behavior is being promoted which challenges centuries of civilizational and societal norms.
Polls are another way for the government/media to lie.

Does the reader trust the media?
Then why does he trust their polls?
Isn’t it time to try the truth for a change?
