Summer Solstice: Pagan Sun Celebrations in Field and Church

Sun worship“Hear the word that the Lord speaks to you, O house of Israel. Thus says the Lord: “Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them, for the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.”
–Jeremiah 10:1-5

The summer solstice (first day of summer, longest day of the year) has come and gone this past week. The Corporate Media celebrates the summer solstice in a way that was unheard of a few decades ago. Many churches, too. Why is this? Why the pagan holiday has grown large in the times in which we live.

Time for one of paganism’s big days of the year: the summer solstice. Most of the rest of us know it as the first day of summer OR the longest day of the year.

What is the summer solstice?

Worldwide, interpretation of the event has varied among cultures, but most recognize the event in some way with holidays, festivals, and rituals around that time with themes of religion or fertility.

As befits a truly heathen holiday, practically the whole world celebrates or commemorates the day in some fashion.

Because paganism has traditionally hidden within the walls of the counterfeit Christian churches, the summer solstice was cloaked in superstition and taught for Christianity. One of these subterfuges was that the solstice was the birthday of John the Baptist.

No one knows and the Bible does not record the day of John the Baptist’s birth.

Birthdays are not celebrated in the Bible (Herod and Pharaoh excepted). But they are held dear by the pagans, the heathens, the satanists and counterfeit Christianity.

Prophet and preacher: Who was John the Baptist?

Another fib: that sun worship (the summer solstice) was about the promise God made Noah after the flood.

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”
–Genesis 8:22

These ruses allowed the pagans in the churches to celebrate their holiday while claiming it was all about the LORD.

Just as takes place today.

Here is a recent announcement for a such an event.

Summer Solstice Gathering and Potluck Rain or shine. Bring a dish to share. Visiting, singing, prayer, bonfire, potluck at 6 p.m., Prayer at 7:30 p.m., Firefly walk at dusk led by… Donations welcome.

It’s sun worship in the house of the LORD.

Of course, this is nothing new.

“And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.”
–Ezekiel 8:16

OF COURSE, Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) never allows a summer solstice go by without claiming “You don’t know what you’re missing! This is one big party!”

The reader can take his pick of media party announcements, most with usually pictures of crowds making merry or Stonehenge. This occult media celebration is something fairly recent, just as the occult holiday of Halloween has morphed into a months-long adult celebration of death and scandalous public behavior.

Party on.

“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.”
–Luke 17:26-30

Has the reader been living a lie?

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
