In the post Cold war era, US nuclear doctrine was redefined. There is no sanity in what is euphemistically called US foreign policy.

Consumers posted another strong month of spending in June, thanks in part to Americans’ slow but steady income gains. That improvement, though, hasn’t been enough to meaningfully offset other parts of the economy that are noticeably slowing down.
The US economy has been in decline–at times a very steep decline–since the 1990’s.
But one would never know it by all of the happy talk in the government economic statistics and the financial press.
Is the economy really recovering? Wake up and smell the GDP.

THE BLAME GAME
Two headlines: one theme.
Americans are famous for talking big but when the chips are down (even a little bit), they look around for someone to blame.
Doesn’t have to be the real culprit of their woes (often the person is looking for a scapegoat). As long as it’s somebody–ANYONE!–else, any old culprit will do: leaders, business, labor, illegal aliens, Democrats, Republicans, liberals, conservatives, fake liberals, fake conservatives, the Chinese, the Germans, Jews, Muslims, Christians…
The list never ends.
This is human nature and would NOT merit mention EXCEPT that in America, the Corporate Media (Satan’s Mouthpiece) is ever ready to “help.”
Their “help” consists of supplying a never-ending list of suspects for why the USA is in the shape it’s in.
That list grows ever longer and that list almost never includes Americans themselves.
Satan is such a helpful fellow.
And so are his minions in the Corporate Media.
Is Trumpism the ‘New Nationalism’? – Nationalism has never gone anywhere. It’s always been alive and well and promoted in the Corporate Media.
Americans have always been susceptible to nationalism because Americans are always looking for someone to blame when the gravy train hits a bump or two.
Just wait until the gravy train runs off the rails.

Fear of the light: why we need darkness -The story of civilization is largely a record of man’s struggles against a few primitive conditions: hunger, thirst, deprivation, darkness.
However, recently the government/media has decided that darkness is our friend–not something to struggle against.
Never fear: we are about to enter a time of darkness even greater than the one we now inhabit. This coming darkness will be promoted as something good.
Due to pervasive light pollution – glare from excessive, misaimed and unshielded night lighting – 80% of Europe and North America no longer experiences real darkness. For anyone living near a major metropolis, a satellite image of the Milky Way seems abstract: we understand it to be a document of something true, but our understanding is purely theoretical.

The white working class is in crisis. But renewal won’t come from political elites or government programs, it will come from communities and families.
OF COURSE nothing good is to be expected from the political elites or government programs.
However, exactly how “cultural renewal” is to come from those surrounded and mired in such a culture (‘families and communities’), is a mystery unexplored.
SHOULD A CHRISTIAN PRAY FOR PATIENCE?

The 8 most dangerous Christian prayers – .A few observations about a particularly noxious bit of antichrist propaganda.
Sometimes, this writer is amazed there are any true believers left in America. Deception is everywhere–but most especially in the dung heap of the “Christian” Internet. This piece purports to offer advice on how to pray. Instead, what the reader will find is a collection of worldly error, hearsay, folk tales and church gossip masquerading as Christianity. It is a horribly deceptive piece of work.
The entire article is an exercise in ear tickling. One could disagree with almost every point it makes on Biblical grounds. The following is offered as an example.
This is the “advice” it offers for #2: Teach me patience.
If you pray for patience, get ready to be surrounded by the most annoying people you have ever met. Get ready for your car to break down when you are late for an appointment. Get ready your children to go bonkers. Get ready for prayers to not get answered. Get ready for setbacks, roadblocks, and pitfalls.
We’ll start off by asking “Where exactly in the Bible does it say that the believer’s prayers will not get answered if one is patient or asking for patience?”
Answer: it doesn’t.
In describing the works of a true apostle of Jesus (according to 2 Corinthians 12:12); Paul uses the descriptor of “utmost patience.’
The linked article promotes the fallacy popular in “Christian” circles that one should not pray for patience.
This is particularly grievous when one remembers that one of the fruits of the Spirit [Galatians 5:22-23] is longsuffering (patience).
Paul advises Christians to “walk in a manner worthy” of their calling “with patience.”
Colossians 1:11 asks “Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
The true Christian is advised time and again to “be patient”–yet pretend Christians never tire of offering the devil’s advice “Don’t pray for patience!”
This is the world talking, not Jesus.

Much has been made of the fact that America is not a healthy country.

The author’s claim is “inequality.”
Which doesn’t hold water because Even America’s Poor are Wealthy–by the standard’s of most of the world’s other countries.
Look to the chain: the food chain. Americans eat food which other developed countries ban because of it’s dangerous.
BUT, in America, if it tastes good, it must be good for you!
And so, like rats attracted to cheese, Americans can wait to wolf down a mystery meat burger and chase it with a guzzle of pure carbonated poison.
The fact that the poison takes a long time (usually) to work is a plus!
HEY! We all have to go sometime!
And so, Americans–in spite of having wealth and access to healthcare–are a sickly people who are getting sicker by the day.
All one has to do is park in a large big box store parking lot and count the canes, oxygen bottles and walkers which the middle aged and youth are using.

Patheos also hosts these regular features: Christ Path Seminar, Conversations with God, A Goddess in LA, Your Inner Healer, Naked Mystic, Quest for Meaning, A Happy Medium, Spirituality and Consciousness: the reader should get the picture.
It’s the same old, same old of a dash of pretend christianity and a bucketful of everything else in the world.
It should tell us what times we are living in when the tares are turning to something called Duck Dynasty for spiritual nourishment.

The troubling rise of American pessimism – Around 2010, this writer remarked on the seemingly-endless stream of media stories which attacked the USA, denigrated Americans and generally concentrated on everything that was MATERIALLY wrong with America.
OF COURSE, the media did not focus on what was actually causing the artificial destruction of America and it’s middle class, preferring to instead concentrate what it promotes best: fear, anxiety, anger, hatred and doubt.
The conclusion six years ago?
It won’t take too may years until Americans trade their sunny dispositions and “can-do” attitudes for a darker mood.

“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.

Children Of The American Police State: Just Another Brick In The Wall – Much of what is said in this piece is true. The narrative is the attribution of the listed transgressions to the nebulous “police state”–instead of to the actions of specific individuals, both in law enforcement, the courts and the political system–the underlying basis for rebellion and the absence of other, lawful remedies.
In addition, there is NO call to hold these transgressors individually responsible.
Yes, the piece does not use the word “rebellion” or “revolt“–it is very well-crafted–but what other conclusion is the reader to draw?
Again, the facts of the matter are not in dispute–at least at this present time. However, the tone is the usual government/media one of inciting the reader to anger (which it does in a very workmanlike way).
Or possibly more.
Republicans’ “voter fraud” false flag: Voter ID laws offer imaginary solutions to imaginary problems – Voting is the illusion of control the ruling elites offer the masses.
The real imaginary problems involve the arguing over the details of that illusion.
