When Economic Growth Doesn’t Make People Happy

That economic expansion leads to greater well-being is a central tenet of modern thought. And yet, that’s not what is happening in America today.

Two thoughts:

1) Maybe the things of this world are not the source of happiness? Despite all of the propaganda, apparently, money CANNOT buy you love–OR happiness.

Perhaps all of the happy talk about the supposedly “robust economy,””4.9 unemployment,” record-breaking stock market and “Everyone who wants to work is working” is so much Soviet-style economic propaganda.

In other words: it’s all empty words by men who say such words easily.

The World is turning Ugly as 2016 winds down

I imagine this is the same kind of sensation many felt from 1914 to 1918 during World War I and the terrible birth of communism, or perhaps in the early 1930s at the onset of the Great Depression and the rise of fascism. Some global changes are so disturbing that they send shockwaves through the collective unconscious before they ever hit the mainstream. People know that something is about to happen, even if they cannot yet clearly define it.

A grand narrative composed of many other, smaller narratives. But it is an interesting read for that very (and other) reason.

FEMA CAMP ADVICE?

After martial law, how to avoid a FEMA camp – (h/t:L) A good article–but for different reasons than what the author likely intended.

1- When reading an Internet article–especially one that warns or alarms–try and notice the ads on the website. Are they for gold and silver, guns and ammo, freeze-dried food, survival gear, underground bunkers and/or other apocalyptic merchandise? Then the website owner has a financial stake in scaring those who read articles on the site.

Does this mean that there will never be any good information from such a site?

Not at all. But, readers should be aware that there may be a financial incentive for the author to ‘scare’ readers into visiting the advertisers–which pay the website owner.

2- Notice the graphics on the article. Is there another message the author is trying to convey other than the basic information promised by the headline? In the linked article, readers are promised info on FEMA camps. The graphic on the article reads “When Injustice becomes Law, Rebellion becomes Duty.”

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. “

This is a tip-off that the writer of the article is using fear of FEMA camps to sell “rebellion.”

Rebellion to what?

To the civil authorities.

If one is a Christian, this is contrary to God’s Word. (Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2:13-14)

Therefore, this article appears to be selling readers more than just the promised information about staying out of FEMA camps.

ANOTHER REALITY, NOT A MATRIX-STYLE SIMULATION

Bank of America analysts claim there’s a 50% chance we live in a ‘Matrix reality simulation’ – This is not a new media narrative–or indeed, even a new idea at all.

But this latest reiteration allows for a quick look at now-familiar ground.

Simulation hypothesis

So are we living in a Matrix-style simulation?

NO, we are not.

BUT we are living in a FALSE REALITY created, not by computers as in the Matrix but, by the unceasing propaganda and lies of media/entertainment (including the Matrix movies)/education/government/science/advertising/churches/sorcery–in short, everything which provides “information” and/or “news” in our modern world.

This false reality is completely different from what those who live in it suppose. It is reinforced almost every waking moment in a coordinated effort to deceive men.

And, it is highly effective: almost impossible to see through without the power of God Almighty Himself.

There is only one antidote: the truth of God’s Word.

But most have been indoctrinated against the one thing which might otherwise save them from destruction, both earthly and eternal.

And so they perish–even as a few may sense they are stranded in a place which is not at all like they’ve been taught their whole lives.

The recent “We are living in a Matrix-style simulation” ruse is only one more lie in a smothering blanket of such deceptions, meant to distract and deceive away from the truth any who become aware that their world is not as they have been both taught and told.

One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.

This selfishness is yet one more example of Hillary Clinton’s overall behavior, which is almost pathologically selfish. In fact, I would remove the qualifier “almost.”

The rest of the linked piece, however, is the usual narratives, gathered together and adorned with the bow of the headline’s premise.

ALL those who crave earthly power are pathologically selfish. The piece could have been so much more, but instead of aiming for truth, it settled for narratives.
