There is None Good: All Men Need a Savior

none good,. no, not one.

“They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Romans 3:12

A popular thing to say is “He is a good man” OR “They are good people.” Even though it’s popular, is it correct? What does the Bible have to say about such statements? Why do so many “good” people end up with shocking behaviors? Why do “good people” disappoint us so often?

The Corporate Media and other units of Satan’s Mouthpiece never tire of telling the lie about “the good man.”

They are not the only ones telling that story.

The Shadow Life of Jim Irsay – Included in today’s mix for the comments to this story.

The article details rampant drug use, infidelity, serial lies and other sinful pathologies of the very wealthy and their hangers-on.  However, many comments defend this behavior because Jim Irsay (an NFL owner of the Indianapolis Colts) is a “good man.”  Never mind the article detailed his “shadow life” and his destructive behavior (though done with a smiling face and handouts of cash), the commenters are sure Irsay is a “good man.”

Because that’s how this most church-goers of the USA roll: everyone is sure that everyone else is a good man.

The Bible says the opposite.

God’s Word declares: if you ask a man about himself, he will always say “I’m a good man.”

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes”
Proverbs 21:2

“All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes”
Proverbs 16:2

“He’s a good man” or “He was a good man” is the American thing to say.  But it is not the Biblical thing to say.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
Romans 3:10

This reminds of a pastor who (when someone pointed out something he’d said or done which was unbiblical) usually appealed to his own heart.

“God knows my heart.”

“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool:”
Proverbs 28:26

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Jeremiah 17:9

God DOES know a person’s heart.

Americans believe the USA has been this “Christian country” in spite of evidence, history and what the Bible says.

It’s a myth, a deception which will bear much bitter fruit.

But then, that is primarily the reason the “American is a Christian nation” myth was promoted.

A people deceived are a people easy to lead.

A people who do not know where they have been are a people who do not know where they are headed.

And that describes apostate America to a “T.”

Apostate American Church: Waiting for the MAN OF SIN

“There are none good.”

Whether or not the reader believes this goes a long way toward determining what side one will be on at the end.

“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse [Jesus], and against his army.”
–Revelation 19:19

DOES the reader tell stories about “good people,” or “good men“?

One either believes the Bible or one does not.

“There is none good. No, not one.”

For that reason alone: ALL men need a savior.

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:”
2 Corinthians 4:3
