“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
–John 16:33
The end times are all about choices.
The end times are also about TRIBULATION–which doesn’t so much refer to physical persecution as it does to that overwhelming feeling of no escape; of the constant pressure of an unforgiving world.

OF COURSE, the Christian, almost by definition, will experience tribulation regularly. For the true believer, tribulation is not something that only happens in the end times, it’s a daily dose of life.
“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
–Acts 14:22
And Acts 14:22 is true.
The Christian KNOWS there is nowhere on earth where presently he can escape the wickedness and evil which grips the entire earth.
Nowhere.
THAT is tribulation. For the true believer, it is a fact of everyday life.
More, much more, is coming.
HOWEVER, the Christian NEVER faces this tribulation alone: in the midst of it, he always has peace.
Which makes all the difference.

THE GOSPEL
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:”
—2 Corinthians 4:3
