NEWER BIBLE TRANSLATIONS: Corrupting God’s Word

THE BIBLE INFORMS THE FAITH OF THE BELIEVER

There is a world of difference between the many translations of the Bible.

These various  “newer translations” demand that the Christian STUDY the Bible CLOSELY–as opposed to “reading the Bible” as recommended by the churches.

The King James Version is generally faithful to the original text, though it is NOT without its errors in translation.

HOWEVER, compared to the newer, diabolical translations, the KJV is much more accurate.

BUT the reader should be aware: there are errors in the King James–unlike the original text.

But the newer translations change the clear meaning of many verses into something else altogether.

FOR EXAMPLE:

“Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.”
John 8:34 (King James Version)

Compare this to

“Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”
John 8:34 (New International Version)

Compare the following two verses.

“For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.”
Romans 6:20 (KJV)

“When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.”
Romans 6:20 (NIV)

A slave is much different than a servant.

What is the difference?

IF the reader cannot answer this question (as it pertains to the above versions), it’s extremely likely he will be satisfied with a corrupt version of the Word of God.

ONE HINT: IF the lost were truly slaves to sin, they would not be able to repent (change direction). They not only couldn’t be saved from eternal torment, they could not be blamed for their supposed inability to change.

There is much more to be said on this subject.

This article can serve as a sort of INTRODUCTION to the topic–which will be expanded on in the future.

HAS the reader been deceived into accepting an “easy-to-read” Bible version which distorts the meaning of God’s Word?

IS the reader “reading the Bible” instead of STUDYING the Bible?

THERE is still yet time to change directions (repent).

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:”
2 Corinthians 4:3
