“But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.”
Traveling over the highways and byways, it has been remarked how many houses and other buildings throughout the land are adorned with the tokens of pagan gods, especially in “comfortable” neighborhoods.
It doesn’t matter if it is a rural or urban setting. IN FACT, from personal observation, the urban dwellers–judging by the number of homes and buildings adorned with pagan symbology–have a lower number of idol worshipers than most rural areas.
This doesn’t count all of the hundreds of statues and likenesses of pagan gods which adorn America’s scenery–particularly around any political capital, be it local, state or national.
A few are open in their allegiance to other gods.
They do not live a lie and openly admit that they worship idols (though many do not call them so; “idols” having a bad reputation still, even in a land of open depravity such as the USA has become).
The Bible tells us behind every idol is a pagan god (or as it is more commonly called: a “demon” or “evil spirit” or a “devil.”
Some are open about their pursuit and possession of such forbidden power.
“For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the people are idols”
–1 Chronicles 16:25-26
But most in America live a lie: they–like ancient Israel–worship idols while giving lip service to God Almighty.
OR they fancy themselves “cosmopolitan worshipers“: worshiping both their idols and God Almighty. Much of this false worship of God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ, takes place in the buildings known as churches. Some of this false worship is sincerely undertaken by those who are seriously deceived.
The Bible relates that all of this was also a problem in ancient Israel and it was one which God Almighty did not look kindly upon.
The end times are a time of idolatry. IN FACT, idolatry is one of the “five big sins of the end times.”
“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
America is a land of pagan gods: their statues adorn practically every public park and town square; their customs are practiced in the churches; the biggest companies in the country use their names and likenesses in their logos and advertising; they predominate in many areas of that pagan religion we call “science.“
America is a land of pagan gods.
The vast majority believe that they live their lives in darkness and that no one sees them. Some believe that because of the apparent success of their machinations, their side is “winning” and God Almighty is not all that He thinks He is.
Because they have no experience with God Almighty and His power, they place great faith in the trifling power of their pagan gods. In almost all instances, this demonic power seems to get the job done: Why not access it?
The worship of pagan gods and idols leads to eternal perdition. That’s a long, long time; beyond all human reckoning. But such forbidden power ALSO leads to eventual earthly destruction–though few appear to connect their worship with their various, sundry and persistent “misfortunes.”
As was declared one time not so long ago: “You don’t believe that, do you? Really? The Bible is just a bunch of stories!”
Faith and subsequent confirming experiences (which one will not have if one does not first have faith) dictate that the Bible is more than “just a bunch of stories.”
As the fast-approaching end times will demonstrate.
“Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.”
HAS the reader an idol in his life?
DOES the reader know for sure?
THERE is still time to change direction (repent) and place one’s trust in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:”
—2 Corinthians 4:3
