Not dying or coming back from the dead (and escaping judgment) is a very, very, very old lie. It was told to the first humans; to Eve in the Garden of Eden.
“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:”
—Genesis 3:4
There are a LOT of variations on the “Never Die” lie.
- The dead will be resurrected by man, usually scientists using some sort of science-sounding new technology.
- Science will deliver the ability to live forever; i.e., to be immortal.
- Technology will allow a person to clone a body and upload his brain to a computer to download into his new cloned body.
There are as many schemes and variations to the serpent’s lie as there are charlatans and thieves.
Not dying is a lie which claims there is a way to outsmart God. It is a lie which claims there is a way to escape judgment.
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”
–Hebrews 9:27
It is a very, very, very old lie.
It continues to be told because it works.
DOES the reader believe he will escape judgment by not dying?
THERE is still time to change direction (repent) and place one’s trust in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
