Christmas is a Pagan Holiday, Not the Birthday of Jesus Christ

Christmas is a pagan holiday.

“A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.”
–Ecclesiastes 7:1

Should Christians even celebrate the day of Jesus Christ’s birth?

Not according to the Bible.

Is Christmas purely a pagan holiday? –Christmas IS a purely pagan holiday. NOTHING in the Bible corresponds with Christmas and its many rituals, practices and traditions. Christmas is nothing more than warmed-over heathenism, with a heaping helping of covetousness thrown in for good measure.

Agreed: church folk DO celebrate Christ’s birth.

However, the Bible does not celebrate birth days: that is a pagan tradition. But since when did the church folk let God’s Word stand in the way of having a little holiday fun?

“Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.”
–Jeremiah 20:14

Though we don’t know the exact date of Jesus’ birth, this does not stop church folk from celebrating it with pagan trappings, decorations, traditions and worship–all the while giving lip service to Jesus Christ for a few minutes each season.

Somehow, that is supposed to make it alright.

DOES the reader believe he is celebrating Christianity by celebrating Christmas?

THERE is still time to change direction (repent) and place one’s trust in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:”
2 Corinthians 4:3
