One can either place one’s trust for the future in God or the American Dream.
This Is What $15 An Hour Looks Like –In the battle between inflation and the minimum wage, inflation will ALWAYS win.
In the USA, the past, the present and the future is largely based around how much $$$ one has.
This is another story of how hope invested in $$$ is a false hope.
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
–Matthew 6:19-21
The reader may protest: “Hey, a person’s got to live!”
And that’s perfectly true.
However, those who trust to other men, the schemes of men, minimum wage laws and the like will be sorely disappointed when they have a hard time making ends meet.
They also will continually wonder why that is. But the great majority will never change the object of their hope.
When one relies on government, one can NEVER complain at the crumbs which the government hands out.
