Photos: New York City from Above – On Wednesday, July 7, 2010, Danny Acker, a photographer, took a helicopter ride over Manhattan and took some pictures.
Here’s 67 aerial photos of NYC; most are Acker’s. It’s a good view of a city many feel is the epitome of everything man has to offer. As such, this is an interesting portfolio of nearly 70 large photos.
But another thought intruded about three-fourths of the way through this collection. This is where 9/11 occurred. This was the birthplace of the War on Terror.
It’s suspected that the object of the next terror attack will not be a big city. It will be in smaller cities/towns of suburban/rural America–the better to bring home to the “ordinary people” the need for the War on Terror to continue and to escalate.
One further thought: “conspiracy theory” is used as a pejorative these days. It’s meant to belittle anyone who has an alternative view to the narratives put forth by the government and the government’s mouthpiece, the Corporate Media. However, the biggest conspiracy theory of the new century is the War on Terror itself.
This theory, put forth by the government–with all of the resources the government, business and the media could muster–holds an almost impossible-to-believe story. That a group of Muslim cave-dwellers moved to America, boarded and commandeered–without inside help–a small fleet of commercial airliners and flew them around for over an hour (in one instance) in the airspace over the USA without the least military hindrance by the world’s “remaining superpower.”
Not one US Air Force jet; not one missile, no military response of any kind was offered as much of the nation tuned in to watch the drama unfold on their televisions.
This is the conspiracy theory which the U.S. public was asked to buy–and it did. The War on Terror conspiracy justified any expense–and billions of dollars have changed hands– opened up a blank Washington checkbook to wars across the world, as well as domestic spying of every type at home.
But Americans have a famously short attention span. They forget–and when they forget, they tend to grumble. So, they will be reminded one day soon why the spying at home and boots on the ground abroad are not only necessary, but something that Americans should be thankful their government is doing.
“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

The previous passage refers to the coming Day of the Lord.
Who knows what all that “great and terrible day” will entail?
DOES the reader believe every story the government/media tells him?
THERE is still time to change direction (repent) and place one’s trust in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
