SUBSIDIES FOR THE RICH AND CELEBRATED
There’s a reason the rich get richer.
The government forces everyone else to give the rich more money.
Candy Land senators call for repeal of sugar subsidies – Year-after-year, every year for decades, the US taxpayers have sent privileges (which translates into great wealth) to a very small group of families who grow sugar.
They also do the same to a small group of families who own citrus groves, peanuts, etc. The federal government makes it illegal for anyone in the USA to grow these products, even for their own use. And the government is very, very strict in enforcing the subsidies.
Illegal drugs: the feds could never seem to get a handle on that problem. But illegal oranges or lemons? They were all over that one like Starsky and Hutch.
This all takes place in the “Land of the Free” and life goes on, even though these products cost 2-3 times what they should.
Needless to say, those small groups of families are all multi-millionaires.
The deception continues every day in the World’s Most Christian Nation™.

DECLINE AND FALL OF THE USA
The United States of Decline – Where once the Corporate Media was anxious to offer its prescriptions for what ailed the USA, it is now no longer interested in a cure.
Once upon a time, the media seemed obsessed with tall tales of American exceptionalism, the “can-do spirit” and American know-how.
NOW, the media focuses on heralding the break-up, the decline, the fall of the country once known as the United States of America.
Over the last seven years, Americans have gotten a steady stream of such articles.

What does living near one’s parents do to one’s career?
It could be helpful during bouts of unemployment, but it’s also associated with lower-paying work.

The US intelligence community continues its war to kick Donald Trump to the curb and destroy his presidency.
Obviously, the NSA, the CIA, and their silent partners want to continue to run this country.
There is no “war.”
Trump and the US intelligence community are both members of the same team.
USA FOUNDED AS A CHRISTIAN NATION?
NOT ACCORDING TO THE TREATY OF TRIPOLI
Was the USA founded on Christianity? Not according to the 1796 Treaty of Tripoli – Which was ratified by the Senate and signed by President John Adams.
The quotation often given is in fact from Article XI of the Treaty of Tripoli (8 Stat 154, Treaty Series 358):
Article 11
“As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion–as it has in itself no character or enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen–and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.”
The text may be found in the Congressional Record or in treaty collections such as Charles I. Bevans’ Treaties and Other International Agreements of the United States of America 1776-1949, vol. 11 (pp. 1070-1080).
The Treaty of Tripoli was signed in Tripoli on November 4th, 1796. The English text of the treaty was approved by the U.S. Senate on June 7, 1797 and ratified by President John Adams on June 10, 1797. It was recently discovered that the US copy of the Arabic version of the treaty not only lacks the quotation, it lacks Article XI altogether. Instead it seems to contain the text of a letter to the Pasha of Tripoli from the Dey of Algiers.
The person who translated the Arabic to English was Joel Barlow, Consul General at Algiers, a close friend of Thomas Paine–and an opponent of Christianity. It is possible that Barlow made up Article XI, but since there is no Arabic version of that article to be found, it’s hard to say. It seems unlikely, however.
In 1806 a new Treaty of Tripoli was ratified which no longer contained the quotation. The 1815 Treaty With Algiers contains a similar article, but does not state that the US government is not founded on religion, only that it is not incompatible with any religion.
Ignoring the question of the wording of the Arabic version of the 1796 Treaty of Tripoli, we can conclude that the wording of the English article XI fairly represents the opinion of the time, as it was passed and approved by both the US Senate and the President.
There is zero evidence that America was founded as a Christian nation–except for the smooth words of smooth men in the Corporate Media stating that it is so.
The question then becomes: why the deception?
Is it an honest mistake?
Is it for money?
Are there other reasons?
Are those reasons important for the American Christian today?

One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events.
