The world struggles mightily to convince the masses to place their trust in gold.
HOWEVER, that trust is sadly misplaced: gold will ultimately betray all who place their faith in it.

Gold is only one more thing the world has trusted to get them through bad times.
Gold is just one more end times deception–though it is one of the most heavily-promoted ones.
Hyperinflation and Capital Controls – Hyperinflation is the quickest way to rob the middle class of their money and property.
“Capital controls” are the laws the robbers put in place to prevent any of the victims from escaping. Rather, to prevent any of the victims’ money from escaping. For a blueprint, see Germany 1920-1938. Or the USA 1996-2013.
“In 1919, one loaf of bread cost 1 mark; by 1923, the same loaf of bread cost 100 billion marks.”
Those who peddle gold and precious metals shout “hyperinflation” and “calamity” to pump up sales of their products. Truth is, their products are not hedges against hyperinflation or calamity. They are tools to use when finances fluctuate between good times and uncertainty.
When the train falls completely off the tracks, many gold-holders will be shocked and dismayed to find that the security of their precious metals was a precious sales pitch–and nothing more.
ONE HISTORICAL ILLUSTRATION: Many Americans had some gold in the 1920s: jewelry, family heirlooms, etc.
Were these hedges against bad times? When the Great Depression was thrust upon the USA, did the gold Americans owned provide them with any comfort during the hard times?
Executive Order 6102 is a United States presidential executive order signed on April 5, 1933, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt “forbidding the Hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States”. The order criminalized the possession of monetary gold by any individual, partnership, association or corporation.
So Americans were given one year to sell their gold to the government at $17.50/oz. (The government turned around and sold that gold abroad at $35/oz. Sweet!) After that one year was up, if Americans were caught with gold, the government not only confiscated it, they prosecuted the offending citizen.
The penalty?
“…under penalty of $10,000 or up to five to ten years imprisonment or both.”
And the US government was not shy in prosecuting individuals and companies.
Think it can’t happen again?
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”
