The end times Christian is promised much.
Persecution.
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
–2Timothy 3:12
Tribulation.
“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
–Acts 14:22
Being delivered (for a time) into the hands of the enemy.
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast..And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
–Revelation 13:4-7
There are no promises of deliverance from earthly persecution–as many false teachers who promote the fear of man promise.
“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
–Proverbs 29:25
Yet, believers are also promised “rest from their labors.”
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
–Revelation 14:13
And, as always, believers are to remember:
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,”
—James 1:2
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;”
–2Corinthians 4:17
DOES the reader worry and fret about the future?
THERE is still time to change directions (repent) and throw oneself on the mercy of the LORD.
Is your calling and election sure?

THE GOSPEL

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
