MISPLACED FAITH
Man loves to place his faith in that which he can see, hear and/or touch.
This is the primary reason man places his faith for the future in the world, the things of the world and the schemes of the world.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
–1John 2:15-16
Some of the schemes of the world include the lottery and insurance.
Many men place their faith in traditions of other men.
“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”
–Psalm 146:3
Such traditions include organized religion, government programs and political parties.
Some men place their faith in themselves.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
–Proverbs 3:5
Again, man loves to place his faith in that which he can see, hear and/or touch.
This is one reason why man clings to routine and places his faith for the future in the things which he sees around him today.
However, all who place their trust in such things are doomed to disappointment–both in this life and the next.
So where is the end times man to place his trust?
There is only one place man can trust.
“In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.”
–Psalm 56:11

HAS the reader trusted to those who cannot save?
THOUGH time grows short, there is still time left to change direction (repent) and call upon the name of the LORD.
