The World’s War Against God’s Word

The World's War against God's Word.

“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”
–Psalm 119:89

The world wages a continuous battle against God’s Word.

It never ceases.

Satan (and the world) know IF men are disconnected from God’s Word, the success of the enemy is assured. Which is a primary reason the world has raised up so many alternate sources of authority: government, media, science, medicine, history, tradition, the churches, entertainment, fashion, music, and others.

Their job is to challenge God’s Word at every opportunity: to mock, to scoff, to denigrate; in short, to attack the validity of God’s Word, offering their often-colorful stories in its place.

One recent attempt is the article, To Understand Why We Have So Many Languages, Look Way, Way Back in Human History.  The article offers a narrative built around a number of claims, of which “rainfall and warfare are just two of the many factors.”

God’s Word relates the origin of man’s various languages, which occurred a few generations after the flood.

“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.  And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.”
–Genesis 11:1-9

…and so it goes.

God’s Word offers the truth, as well as the answers to men’s problems.]

The world offers its competing version and drags men away from the truth, as well as the answers to their problems.

God’s Word never changes.

“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”
–Psalm 119:89

The stories, traditions and fables of the world change whenever it becomes convenient or when men cease to believe the earlier stories of the world.

The world has a very compelling reason for its non-stop attacks: IF one doesn’t know the problem, one cannot arrive at a solution.

IF men do not know their problems or the answer to their problems, they will follow along behind the latest stories of the world offering to solve those problems. Men who are in the dark are much easier to control and enslave.

The closer we come to the climax of human history (Revelation 4-22), the more intensely the world will challenge the Word of God.

The reader will be FORCED to make a choice–and the Bible declares that the overwhelming majority of men will forsake God Word and choose the deceptive stories of the world.

The reader cannot avoid making a choice.

The Word of God OR The stories of science, medicine and other authorities exalted by the world. Forcing men to make a choice is one reason the events of the end times occur.

Which will it be?

HAS the reader put his faith in the many stories of the world?

THOUGH time grows short, there is still time left to change direction (repent) and call upon the name of the LORD.

Do not wait until it is too late.

Is your calling and election sure?

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
