“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.”
–1Peter 4:7
The believer is cautioned and warned of many things concerning the end times.
The believer is also given a number of end times commands; some by Jesus Himself.
One of the most repeated (and most urgent) commands is to WATCH!
WATCH!
The end times believer is to watch: watch for the signs of the return of Jesus Christ.
IF readers want to watch effectively, they should thoroughly learn Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17 and 21 and the entire Book of Revelation.
That would be a good start.
Counterfeit Christians never cease supplying things to watch for–MOST of which are not in the Bible. They especially concentrate on the things of this world–particularly the events of this world which SOUND LIKE they COULD be in the Bible.
In this manner, they mislead and distract many who might be interested in watching for the return of Jesus Christ. ALL who are watching half-heartedly will be distracted.
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
–Matthew 24:42
“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
–Matthew 25:13
“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.”
–Mark 13:33
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.”
–Mark 13:35-36
“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”
–Luke 21:36
“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving”
–Colossians 4:2
“Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”
–1Thessalonians 5:6
“Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”
–Revelation 3:3
“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”

BE NOT DECEIVED
Another end times command is to not be deceived.
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”
–Matthew 24:4
“And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”
–Mark 13:5-6
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
–Matthew 24:11
“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
–Mark 13:22
“And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.”
–Luke 21:8
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
–Matthew 24:24
There are other commands, “pray” being perhaps the most familiar.
But if the believer watches and takes measures to not be deceived, he will go a long way toward being obedient to the end times commands of God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ.
IS the reader obeying the end times commands of God?
THOUGH time grows short, there is still yet a little time left to change direction (repent) and call upon the name of the LORD.
Do not wait until it is too late.
Is your calling and election sure?

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
