The End Times Greatest Dangers

Warning: Deception

PART ONE

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”
–Matthew 24:3-4

The end times are full of dangers: physical dangers AND spiritual dangers.

While most are terrified of various physical dangers (hurricanes, world war, overthrow of the government, disease and pestilence, earthquakes, etc.), the greatest danger in the end times is deception.

When asked what would be the sign of His return to earth, Jesus Christ warned the apostles repeatedly of the deception that would be prevalent.

The one great decision end times man will have to make is to succumb to the overwhelming deception which surrounds him in order to maintain the level of comfort he has grown accustomed to OR leave the deception behind and make a commitment to place his faith for the future wholeheartedly in God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Almost all the world will choose to yield to the deception and follow along after the world–and almost all the world will reap a terrible eternal harvest from such a decision.

With this in mind, we present (in no particular order) a number of thoughts on the end times, the deceptions which surround end times man, and what possibly might be done. A fair amount of these ideas originated from various discussion over the past six months; a few come emails and comments; a few from questions asked; and still others, from input older than six months.

Part One will address general conditions of the end times world and the greatest of its many deceptions.

Part Two will examine specific deceptions told (mainly) in the churches in order to mislead modern man. Part Two will also look at what the reader might do.

1 The goal of all the world’s systems of control is deception/span>

There was a good reason the Bible spends so much time warning of end times deception: it is everywhere and yet deception is still virtually unnoticed by those who are immersed in it.

Satan is not only a tricky fellow and the “father of lies,” he is very good at what he does. This applies to the many minions and servants of the prince of this world.

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

2 It is NOT all about the money

Do not believe the common deception “They do everything for the money.”

Yes: the mystery of iniquity IS worldly.

Yes: they are motivated by greed and the treasure of this present world.

Yes, IF they can both further their deceptive ultimate goal AND make a buck, they will.

But, there is a higher goal; one that they feel maximizes their control of the entire world and its resources. To that end, ALL short-term considerations of profit are subordinated to the ultimate goal of world control.

The elites have labored for centuries to bring about the situation in which the world now finds itself. Those who control the wealth and power want orld control (and control of the world’s wealth and power). Temporarily passing on profit in order to further a greater victory happens fairly frequently.

Those who insist that the world’s elites “do it for the money” miss the larger picture.

[NOTE: ETPR has written on “the rich and celebrated.” This designation not only includes the very wealthy, it also refers to those who control earthly power; those who control and manipulate information and influence (the media and well-paid entertainers, celebrities and sports figures); as well as others who wield forms of earthly might, force, influence or riches.

This group is sometimes referred to as “the elites.”]

3 The aim of all of this end times deception is the iron-clad control of all the world

Many in what we call the “modern” world are deceived about a great many things, including their proper place in history. Though the Bible lays out the entire entire schedule of the world’s coming events, modern man does not believe it because modern man does not believe the Bible.

Satan has accomplished this by 1) creating man-centered authorities (education, media, government, the churches, false religions,science, medicine) which attack and challenge the Bible at every opportunity; and, 2) raising up false teachers, apostles and prophets among the churches who corrupt the Word of God so that those who follow them will not know the true Word of God.

The aims of Satan and his minions are 1) the worship of the whole world directed toward Satan; 2) overthrow of everything that has to do with God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ; 3) control of the whole world by a small group of men; 4) the advent of the world religious leader the Bible calls the “man of sin”; and, 5) the return of the world to the religious/government system which existed before the flood where men exercised control through illegitimate supernatural power.

4 One of the greatest end times deceptions has been the counterfeiting of the churches by Satan to mimic the Church of Jesus Christ

“…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. “
–Matthew 16:18

One of the hardest ideas for modern man to grasp is falseness of the network of buildings which are called “the churches.”

What does the Bible say about those who inhabit the end times churches?

MORE:LORD, LORD: Who is Crying Lord, Lord?

Grievous wolves, ravening wolves, wolves in sheep’s clothing, seducers, evil men, false prophets, false Christs, ungodly men, “men…speaking perverse things,” false teachers, “them which cause division and offences contrary to doctrine…by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple,” false apostles, deceitful workers, “ministers of Satan” who present themselves as “ministers of righteousness”: this is who the Bible warns will be in the churches.

Because man wants to believe good things about himself and his friends and family, man is easily deceived about these churches of the tares (pretenders).

Because end times man has largely outsourced his study of the Bible to wolves in sheep’s clothing, end times man does not know when he is being lied to and deceived by the workers of iniquity in the pulpits.

5 Modern man is confused and deceived about religion and Christianity

Many mistakenly believe that because they conform to the spiritual values and reasoning of the world , they are right in the eyes of God.

6 Because end times man so depends on the schemes and things of man to establish what is real and true, he is deceived about most of the world around him

Modern man lives in a false reality–and it is getting worse.

Modern man places a great deal of trust in what he can see, hear, taste, feel and smell. IF the world controls these inputs, then the world controls the very things upon which modern man has placed his trust.

IF these worldly things which can be perceived by the senses are false, then much of what modern man believes will also be false.

Modern man has relied upon music, media, government, education, medicine, entertainment, science and all of the other authorities of this world for his orientation as to what is normal. Because these worldly things are manipulated daily, what man believes is normal, true and good is also manipulated; i.e., what man believes is also false.

7 The world is not at all as it is portrayed or popularly though of

Because men are so deceived, they believe the workers of iniquity (who lie) , while at the same time rejecting the only source of truth, the Bible.

This is the reason Satan is able to deceive the whole end times world.

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
–Revelation 12:9

Modern man KNOWS he is lied to about a great many things, but because he is deceived, he turns his back on the truth and follows after those he KNOWS deceive him.

As stated, Part Two will take a look at the many specific deceptions the churches and media have promoted about the end times. The second part will also address what can be done about the overwhelming deception and the events which spring from that worldwide deception.
