The Deceptions of Demonic Power

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”
–1Timothy 4:1

Biblical warnings about end times deception are many and well-documented. Many of those deceptions concern seducing spirits (to which some in the end times will give heed), as well as the various doctrines which will originate from these evil spirits (devils).

One part of the overwhelming deception which surrounds moderns has to do with all of the world’s authorities claiming that everything in the world boils down to the equation of Physical causes = Physical effects.

Physical Causes = Physical Effects.

This deception masks the real causes of many problems (Many of which are NOT physical).  It also cleverly disguises many problems (Many of which are also NOT physical).

And, if one does not know the real problem, one can hardly find a solution.

Many of those end times deceptions involve end times’ men in league with demons (evil or familiar spirits).

A few observations:

1- End times man is deceived about those who use demonic power. The use of such power is expressly forbidden by God’s Word.

But end times man does not believe the Bible.  Therefore, end times man–alone among all men who have ever lived at all times in history–is deceived about such entities and their power.

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD”
–Deuteronomy 18:10-12

2- Those who use such illegitimate supernatural power are perhaps MORE deceived than those they lie to about such things. Those who use evil or familiar spirits (demons/devils) believe that they have access to something of great value.  What they have is an association with an entity more powerful than themselves who hates them and LIES to them.

About EVERYTHING.

But because using such power gains end times man access to a few trinkets and/or a few parlor tricks, end times man places great value on something which slowly destroys him and those around him.

3- Because they mistakenly believe they “control” these spirits, those associated with such energy believe themselves to be blessed.

They are cursed.

Those who use such power almost always are the victims of various events they describe as”bad luck.” Because they are deceived, they do not associate their many bouts of “bad luck” with the entity they believe they control.

4- Those who consult with such evil spirits usually indulge in any number of carefully choreographed rituals which they mistakenly believe ensures their own A- protection and B- control.

IF they only looked at the number of “unfortunate” occurrences in their lives, they might be able to figure out the source of their troubles.

But because they are so deceived, they do not.

OR, they believe that the same rituals and corrupted knowledge which brought them to this sorry state will also deliver them from it.

In many cases, they believe the answer to their problems is the more of the same poison which they earlier consumed.

5- Almost any time illegitimate supernatural power is accessed, lies and falsehoods accompany such usage.

Thus, there are many stories told about how to gain and maintain such power.

In actuality, such power is a fairly straightforward, simple equation.

Sacrifice = Obtain temporary access to that being’s powers

6- The deceptions surrounding the use of illegitimate supernatural power are many.

Witches often tell tales of spells, hexes and potions.

So do wizards and sorcerers.

“Hidden, ancient knowledge” many times figures into such events. The lies surrounding such “knowledge” are many, varied and meant to fool others about what is really happening.

Necromancers will speak of contacting those in the “next life.”

Those who profit from divination, charming and fortune telling often resort to a variety of props to throw off the public in how they operate.

In the end, it all boils down to their familiar (evil) spirit.

This is the reason that such practitioners have to speak their desires about what they want to accomplish aloud: so their familiar is able to hear what they want.

7- Those who consult those who access illegitimate supernatural power are deceived by the many stories and tall tales about what is taking place.

Some are told that what happens is the result of “power from the earth.”

Others hear that it is the “power within.”

Still others are told about the “universal consciousness” or the “life energy.”

These stories are only some of the most common. There are many other stories as well.

The end times are a time of GREAT deceptions. Many of these deception involve the demonic and the accessing of demonic power.

SOME of the deceived are the ones being told the various cover stories and lies concerning such power.

OTHERS of the deceived are the ones telling the cover stories and lies about USING such forbidden power.

This sad (PREVENTABLE) situation will continue–right up until the return of Jesus Christ.

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”
–Revelation 16:13-14

It is not yet too late: there is still time to repent, place your faith for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
