“Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:”
—1 Peter 2:13-15
One way to tell the end times are upon us: rebellion, revolt and revolution are elevated to virtues to be practiced–not vices to be avoided.
And how is rebellion, revolt and revolution fomented?
First, people are taught that there is no higher authority than what they themselves believe.
Another important way the public is taught to rebel is to teach the public to resist authority; that “submission” and “obedience” are dirty words.
In other words, the public is taught (slowly, over time) to despise authority.
Self-willed Despisers of Authority – Though the linked article’s focus is homosexuality, it serves as a good reminder that those who rebel against the civil authorities rebel against those whom God has installed and, ultimately, God Himself.
OF COURSE, the disobedience of the biblical commands to obey the civil authorities is something that is deeply ingrained into Americans.
Rebellion, revolution and revolt are higher values taught in all American schools.
Every July Fourth, most American celebrate the holiday that commemorates those earlier despisers of authority.
America’s heritage is all about the despisers of authority who turned rebellion into an art form for generations that followed.
“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”
–1Samuel 15:23
Just a few of those biblical commands to obey the authorities follow.
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”
—Romans 13:1-2
“But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government [Newer Bible versions translate “government” as “authority”.] Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.”
—2 Peter 2:10
There are more Bible verses on the subject, but the reader should get the idea.
Mankind is taught to despise authority if that authority is run by a “tyrant” or “dictator.”
Who makes the decisions as to what to call leaders?
Usually Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media).
Despising authority is a virtue in the end times–not a behavior which leads the rebel to destruction.
DOES the reader believe that something is not right about submitting to authority?
DOES the reader believe that symbols of authority (police, military, etc.) are to be resisted?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
