LAND OF OPPORTUNITY?

When a country promises money, money, money and more money to all who show up, work hard, play by the rules and become a “good American,” what happens when that country no longer provides those material wealth-seeking immigrants with financial “Get out of jail free” cards?

One in three Americans would consider leaving the country – The opportunity for financial wealth drove immigrants TO America (not “religious freedom”).

After all, immigrants were told that in America, the streets were paved with gold.

Of course, this is what the Bible says about heaven–but America was marketed as a sort of “heaven on earth.”

So, why does it not stand to reason that a country which emphasized financial well-being would lose those who discovered financial well-being was not a given?

When one’s whole “way of life” is centered on pursuing and accumulating the things of the world, why should any be surprised at opportunists who desire to move elsewhere when that way of life no longer provides those chances to score the things of the world?

The end times are a time of overwhelming deception–and nowhere is that deception more heavily layered and ubiquitous than in the United States of America.

During a recent discussion, a few questions on the topic of deception were posed.

2- If only God can awaken a spiritually deceived person, why write about deception? The deceived will disbelieve and ignore what you write.

One never knows what God will use to awaken someone who one feels has been hopelessly deceived.

Perhaps that person will never open a Bible and God will use another way to crack open the dark recesses of some lost soul’s heart.

Besides, even though there is NO good time for disobedience, the end times are a particularly bad time to disobey the LORD God Almighty.

And the believer is COMMANDED to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

THOSE WHO CLAIM TO BELIEVE GOD’S WORD

There are a GREAT many who claim to believe God’s Word–especially in the buildings commonly referred to as “churches.”

However, we can know the vast majority do NOT speak the truth on this matter.

One verse in particular which seems to provoke a host of reasons why the Bible is not saying what it clearly says is Ecclesiastes 1:9.

How many church folks agree with Ecclesiastes 1:9?

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

One either believes Ecclesiastes 1:9 OR one believes that modern man has created inventions which have never before been seen on earth.

When faced with a choice of believing God’s Word or the many manufactured tales of man, ALMOST ALL church-goers will declare that modern man is the most advanced; most technologically enabled; most inventive and clever that man has ever been.

Modern man believes he is at the top of the heap, technology-wise–because modern man has been repeatedly had this drilled into him from the time he was very young.

THEREFORE: modern man is deceived more than he can ever know.

When the choice is believing the Bible or science, how many will stand with the source of all truth against that ancient, pagan religion?

How many will study God’s Word to reconcile those parts which appear to the natural man to contradict each other?

Because there is not yet a cost to be paid, many will claim to believe the Word of God.

But, when choices have to be made, how many ACTUALLY will stand with the Bible over the worldly authorities set up by Satan and man?
