Those Who Claim to Believe God’s Word

Bible: prophetic chapters

–EXCEPT WHEN THERE IS A GOOD REASON TO NOT BELIEVE IT

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.”
–Amos 8:11-12

There are a GREAT many who claim to believe God’s Word–especially in the buildings commonly referred to as “churches.”

However, we can know the vast majority do NOT speak the truth on this matter.

One verse in particular which seems to provoke a host of reasons for why the Bible is not saying what it clearly says is Ecclesiastes 1:9.

How many church folks agree with Ecclesiastes 1:9?

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

One either believes Ecclesiastes 1:9 OR one believes that modern man has created inventions which have never before been seen on earth.

When faced with a choice of believing God’s Word or the many manufactured tales of man, ALMOST ALL church-goers will declare that modern man is the most advanced; most technologically enabled; most inventive and clever that man has ever been.

MORE: Tares: Responding to the Word of God with Anger

Modern man believes he is at the top of the heap, technology-wise–because modern man has been repeatedly had this drilled into him from the time he was very young.

THEREFORE: modern man is deceived more than he can ever know.

When the choice is believing the Bible or science, how many will stand with the source of all truth against that ancient, pagan religion?

How many will study God’s Word to reconcile those parts which appear to the natural man to contradict each other?

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
–1Corinthians 2:14

Because there is not yet a cost to be paid, many will claim to believe the Word of God.

But, when choices have to be made, how many ACTUALLY will stand with the Bible over the worldly authorities set up by Satan and man?

DOES the reader believe that the “modern wonders” he hears so much about are the result of man’s never-ending quest for knowledge?

DOES the reader believe that the Bible is to be believed–unless there is good, scientific evidence otherwise?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

Why Is Man Drawn to Sin?

“Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
–James 1:15

Why is man drawn to sin?

A past conversation on the topic led to research and then more research and later, the research led to this article.

Why is man drawn to sin–even though the man who is a believer on Jesus Christ KNOWS unrepentant sin is death?

That past conversation had a few “answers” which still come to mind even today.

“It’s man’s nature to sin.”

“Man can’t help but sin.”

“Man is to sin like a duck is to water.”

But NONE of the above really answers the question.  They sort of “kick it down the road.”

They are just something to say when stumped for a real answer.

Consulting the Bible led to Romans.

“For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.”
–Romans 7:18-19

In other words, Paul (an apostle of Jesus Christ Himself) is saying that even being saved and having the Holy Spirit reside in the believer is sometimes (frustratingly) not enough to overcome the attraction sin has for man.

Elsewhere, Paul summed it up: within the saved man, the Spirit battles the flesh and the flesh battles the Spirit.

“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
–Galatians 5:17

The believer wins some; he loses some. BUT, he fights the good fight to OVERCOME the sin contained in his fallen flesh.

During the research portion, a churched writer claimed that the flesh is NOT inherently sinful. The writer cited Genesis 6:31: AFTER God created man, he said “It is good.”

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
–Genesis 6:31

This is true enough, BUT this is what God said about man BEFORE man first sinned.

That first disobedience changed man forever.

Man’s nature was no longer inherently neutral. After man’s fall into sin, man’s nature became sinful. God Himself (after the flood) acknowledges this in Genesis 8:21.

“And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.”

So going back to what was said in the original conversation that sparked this questioning, one could suppose that one of the answers WAS more correct than all of the others.

“It’s man’s nature to sin.”

Man was not created by God to sin. God will not create anything inherently wicked.

BUT after Adam (the first man) disobeyed God and sin was introduced into the world, man’s nature changed.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned”
–Romans 5:12

Man became inherently wicked.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Romans 3:10-12

Wicked man NOW needed a Savior–which God, in His infinite mercy and grace, provided in His Son, Jesus Christ.

“Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
–Romans 5:18-19

So, why does man sin?

Why is man attracted to sin?

The short answer is: Because it is second nature to man–and it will continue to be second nature to man until the day his corruptible flesh is changed into something more permanent.

“For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
–1Corinthians 15:53-57

Time Travel and the Bible

As time goes byTHE TIME TRAVEL SCAM

There has been many, many words written over the past five years or so about the fraud that is “time travel.

HOW can the reader know time travel is nothing more than another media/entertainment/pop culture lie?

Several ways, including the most obvious, that “time travel” is just another way of saying “the manipulation of time.

It is not hard to see why Satan and man would like to manipulate time. God Almighty created time as a measurement/marker of lives and events.  Satan is bound by the time until his eternal judgment–as is man.

So “time manipulation” is a way for the wicked to fantasize about escaping the consequences for their evil behaviors.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”
–Hebrews 9:27

It has always been a fantasy of the wicked to escape the inevitable judgment which awaits them. Of all the empty promises which time travel promotes, “escaping judgment“and “eternal life” (one of Satan’s oldest and most favored lies) are highly attractive to the wicked.

What better bedtime story to believe than the one about time travel, where the wicked will escape the judgment of a looming Almighty God?

Time is a creation of God.  Do Satan and man really believe they can manipulate God’s creation? This would create massive confusion–and God is NOT the author of confusion.

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
–1Corinthians 14:33

Time travel would also make the Word of God into a lie.  No judgment, no consequences for evil behaviors, no reckoning for that which is done in this life: a perfect fantasy for all the workers of iniquity!

Another HUGE reason the reader can KNOW time travel is a huge fraud: the Corporate Media and Science! are repeating time travel stories regularly AS IF they were true.

The continuous repetition of information in the media/entertainment is a clue that what the reader is seeing is propaganda.

ALL propaganda depends upon repetition: regular, heavy and continuous repetition.

MORE: ABCs of Propaganda: Recognizing Propaganda

Another big tip-off is the use of time travel as regular plot devices in recent movie blockbusters.

Time travel has been used regularly in science fiction movies for years, but rarely outside the confines of that genre.

Does the Bible have anything to say about time travel?

Someone recently brought up an interesting point–and backed it up with a Bible verse.

Daniel 7 tells of the False Messiah–Daniel calls him the “little horn“– who rises up and seizes control of the coming worldwide government.  One of the descriptions of this False Messiah is given in Daniel 7:25.

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws”

The question was then raised, “Could Daniel 7:25 be referring to time travel?

Interesting thought…

For all of the above reasons (as well as others), the concept of “time travel” is only that: an idea whispered by Satan which occupies the minds of those who seek to circumvent the surety of God’s judgment.

Like most else Satan offers: it is a lie.

[NOTE: There is more to write on this subject–and more will be coming. This piece will only serve as the introduction of that idea.]
