Living the Modern, Everyday Busy Life: Keeping Busy Right Up Until the End

BUSY LIFE: Too many are too busy for Jesus. What's the Bible say? — BUSY LIFE: Too many are too busy for Jesus–and that’s just the way Satan wants it.

An often-heard plea from Americans goes something like this: “But I just want to live my life!”

“Why can’t everyone just leave me alone and let me live my own life!”

Americans are usually a busy people–busy living their lives.

Americans have turned “just living my life” into a lifelong vocation.

God’s Word states that men will be busy “living their lives” right up until the moment Jesus Christ returns.

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
–Matthew 24:37-39

“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.”

Satan wants those distracted by the wicked world to keep busy–right up until the day they die.

In America, “keeping busy” is largely thought of as a virtue.

Which is why Americans–and the world–will stay busy with various worldly pursuits…

…right up until the day Jesus Christ returns.

“Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
–Luke 10:38-42

Science Fiction!

Science fiction?

Many of the stories used by science have been given trial runs before they were later introduced to the public.

Where did these tryouts occur?

In the pages of the numerous chronicles of Science Fiction!

A few observations about that much-exalted-by-the-world story collection called science and its testing service (called Science Fiction!).

Science fiction is not so much a genre of literature: it is a description of the discipline of science itself.
One of the many uses for science fiction: outlandish and fantastic scenarios are presented in the pages of science fiction. These themes (such as “outer space“) get written, re-written, made into movies and discussed by various groups who proceed AS IF THESE STORIES WERE TRUE. Lastly, science itself begins to examine and re-examine tidbits of the various stories–before incorporating the stories of science fiction into the exalted world of science.
Science exists largely to challenge the Bible. For this reason are the men of science often proclaimed “geniuses” and “great thinkers.”
Because science exists to undermine God’s Word, the world transfers MUCH authority to science before science uses this large amount of worldly authority to challenge the Word of God.
Browse through any collection of the biographies of science fiction writers and one discovers a few similarities. Many such writers have had intelligence/military backgrounds for some reason. More than a few suffered emotional/mental problems. The most successful appear to have moved on from science fiction and graduated to writing higher level legends for the mystery of iniquity.
Science is a collection of manufactured stories, told by witch doctors in white lab coats to a public hungry for an explanation (ANY explanation!) of what it sees every day.
Science is an ancient, pagan religion.
Science fiction is where this pagan religion “works the kinks out” of its upcoming list of hot, new science fables. Science fiction is the bull pen for science stories. It is where such tales get to warm up before graduating to real science.
The truth NEVER changes. The stories of science change often.
Practically ALL science IS fiction.

Mustard Seed Meditation

“But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
–Psalm 1:2

The world is relentless in its never-ending campaign to promote meditation.

However, the meditation the world is selling is the “Eastern” variety of meditation.

The Eastern variety of meditation is claimed to dissipate stress; relieve anxiety; aid digestion; release the meditating person’s energy, as well as other claims.

It is little wonder this type of meditation is popular with the world.

Its focus is on self, the things of the world or the thoughts and deeds of the world.

This is 180° from biblical meditation.

The focus of biblical meditation is the Word of God, the things of God or God Himself.

One example of biblical meditation: meditate on the following statements of Jesus.

“And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”
–Luke 17:6

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.”
–Matthew 21:21

A host of questions spring to mind upon meditating on these passages.

What kind of faith is Jesus talking about?

What distinguishes such a faith?

When does one know that he has the level of faith needed to move mountains?

These verses provoke MANY more questions, possible answers and internal discussions, as well.

How to distinguish the biblical kind of meditation from its vastly-more popular Eastern cousin?

One might call the biblical variety “Mustard Seed Meditation.”

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
–Joshua 1:8

HAS the reader noticed all of the world’s chatter about meditation?

HAS the reader ever said to himself “There must be something to this meditation. After all, it seems the whole world is benefiting from it.”
