Technological Alternate Reality started with movies, moved to radio, then to TV, then to computers, game consoles, handheld phones and tablets.

The wearable computer goggles (Google’s Goggles and Glass) are the latest–not the last.

There was also research done in the 1980s re: stimulating the brain using magnetic forces. The endgame of that research was announced to be one of alternate, manufactured realities.

But, one suspects the supernatural demonic to be the ultimate–and that phenomena has increased at an alarming rate–especially in the places to which one would normally look for relief: the churches.

And this is behind the constant media drone about “superpowers.”

At every step of along the curve of Technological Alternate Reality, church-goers have compromised, promising themselves that they will “manage” this latest innovation and not continue on to the next.

But that seems to be one of the little lies humans tell themselves and so the next “improvement” comes along and like lemmings, church folk also line up with the world to get in on the “fun.”

So, it comes as no surprise that there would be compromise in other areas of alternate reality.

Exchanging the word of God for an “experience” has become the norm in many places. In fact, this writer knows of one such “church” which is named just that: “The Experience.”

The Bible says that drug-induced sorcery will be soon be more commonplace than it is already today.

But the fact is: drugs are only a gateway. Once one is in contact with the supernatural, drugs are no longer necessary. Actually, as a sign of the times in which we live, drugs are being bypassed altogether.

Who needs drugs when one can tap into the power of the the experience?

And it’s a supernatural experience which is being pursued–albeit, a technological adventure.

Often experienced in a church building.

Many times dressed in Christ’s clothes.

Some readers might be thinking “But America is a country full of churches!”

The apostle Paul described the end times, as well as the men who would populate the end times.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
–2Timothy 3:1-5

It could be argued that Paul was describing men of the end times churches, as men of the world have always been “lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.”

This is also true of many of the other descriptions Paul used in 2Timothy 3:1-5.

Yes, America is a land filled with many churches.

The church buildings in America are located in practically every village, town and city throughout the land.

But the Bible warned who would be running the end times churches.

What does the Bible say about those who inhabit the end times churches?

Grievous wolves, ravening wolves, wolves in sheep’s clothing, seducers, evil men, false prophets, false Christs, ungodly men, “men…speaking perverse things,” false teachers, “them which cause division and offences contrary to doctrine…by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple,” false apostles, deceitful workers, “ministers of Satan” who present themselves as “ministers of righteousness”: this is who the Bible warns will be in the churches.
