“But actually, he thought as he readjusted the Ministry of Plenty’s figures, it was not even forgery. It was merely the substitution of one piece of nonsense for another. Most of the material that you were dealing with had no connection with anything in the real world, not even the kind of connection that is contained in a direct lie. POLLS: Another Way to Lie

Do you believe the media? Then why do you believe their lying polls?

“Political campaigns today are all side shows, all honors, all bombast, glitter, and speeches. “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”

gavel: supreme court stories

One of the popular political fables which is told about every four years or so has to do with “The Supreme Court is hanging in the balance.  You have to vote to ensure the Supreme Court does not fall into the hands of our opponents and they appoint a bunch of judges who will rule contrary to your wishes!”

Control of the Supreme Court hangs in the balance this November – Sure it does.

The Supreme Court has pretty much established it will rule however it is told, regardless of which party nominated the puppets on it.

Which is why those Republicans–who believe nonsense such as the linked piece–can thank Republican presidents George W Bush for appointing John Roberts in time to okay ObamaCare and Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon for appointing the justices who approved abortion.

The Choice Facing a Declining United States

America can try to hold on to global hegemony as it slips from its grasp—or it can learn from Britain’s mistakes.

“The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.”
–Proverbs 1:1-6

The first six verses of the Book of Proverbs lays out what the book is about.

The Book of Proverbs imparts wisdom to all who will read, listen and sincerely take its verses to heart.

Although the first verse is VERY clear as to its author, modern church authorities have tried to overturn the authorship of the Book of Proverbs, using various ruses.

The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel

Seem pretty clear, huh?

The Bible tells us that Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived.

“And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

“And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five. And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes. And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.”
–1Kings 4:29-34

God’s Word declares there was a VERY specific reason God gave Solomon so much wisdom.

“And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it. In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

“And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.”
–2Chronicles 1:6-12

So, the Book of Proverbs is the distilled wisdom of Solomon, the world’s wisest man.

Because Proverbs applies to many facets of everyday life, it is not a hard book to read regularly. Among the distilled nuggets of wisdom:

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
–Proverbs 22:6

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
–Proverbs 27:17

“The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.”
–Proverbs 11:17

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
–Proverbs 16:25

“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.”
–Proverbs 5:21

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
–Proverbs 18:10

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
–Proverbs 3:5-6

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
–Proverbs 1:7

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
–Proverbs 9:10

There are a GREAT many more.

Christianity: The Ultimate in Delayed Gratification

‘Madden’ gamer hailed as hero for shielding young players as bullets rang out at Jacksonville event – Every modern “mass shooting” story has its hero(es) to put a face on the tragedy for the folks at home.

“A developer in New York wants to build an IHOP on top of a Revolutionary War cemetery. IHOP’s CEO said, “It makes sense, we’ve killed more Americans than the British ever did.”
–Conan (2016)

Almost half of Americans can’t pay for their basic needs – Must be because of the fabulous economy we’ve been hearing so much about for the past eight or nine years.

popular culture is a sewer pipe

NEWS FLASH: The American “culture” is debased and perverse–and has been for years.

The popular culture has been so bad for so long, Americans believe it to be the normal way of life.

Americans have parked their children in front of Harry Potter, Disney and vile offerings from “family channels” and then wondered why those same children grew up to disdain parents, family and America.

Forget about Christianity.

Forget about even churchianity.

The producers and marketers of “family fare” for DVDs, TV and video games are much more clever at embedding anti-family, anti-Christian information in their products than half-interested parents are at finding that information.

American parents take pride (a sin!) every time a half-hearted half-measure is instituted in their home.

Compromise isn’t even recognized as such–until the wheels come off of that particular family unit.

Then, it’s too late.

Until then, compromise is celebrated as a “victory” at not completely giving in to the world.  Meanwhile, children grow ever more rebellious while parents scratch their heads and appeal to government to do their work for them.

IF the situation gets REALLY out-of-control, the parents will then appeal to their gods for help.

There’s a fortune to be made by the enterprising lad who establishes a 1-900 telephone service so Americans can call in and buy a clue.

HOWEVER, that enterprising young person  would have to include the GOSPEL in his message.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
-—1 Corinthians 1:18-19

For individual Americans to awaken from their spiritual slumber, surrounded as they are by a cocoon of deceit that blankets their everyday life, takes an act of a sovereign God.

Logic won’t do it.

Evidence won’t do it.

Persuasion won’t do it.

Talking it out” certainly won’t do it.

The foolishness of the gospel alone will snatch those perishing from the fire.

And that cesspool of iniquity called American Culture.

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
–Psalm 55:22

Several years ago, an acquaintance, who is a fairly zealous member of an idol-worshiping false religion, made a startling statement–at least on the surface of it.

“I enjoy reading the Book of Psalms. It seems to bring me peace when I am agitated. Actually, I like reading Psalms and often read them.”

This was surprising because previously, the man had never EVER mentioned anything being of any benefit except the words of his Eastern religion.

The Book of Psalms is very much a book which covers a LOT of ground. There are many chapters in Psalms: 150 of them, to be exact; i.e., 150 different Psalms.

Psalm 119 is the longest, containing 176 verses.

Although most know the Psalms to be “praises of God,” (which they are), they are so much more.

They contain nuggets of wisdom about daily life, prophecies about the times in which we live, prophecies about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and reminders of God’s power and promises–as well as soothing word pictures which can calm and quiet the distraught.

To the believer, Psalms offers constant reminders of God’s many promises–including God’s supernatural peace which he promises to believers.

To non-believers, Psalms provides a preview of the type of peaceful calm available to all those who trade the trinkets of this present world for the surety of the kingdom of heaven.

While King David wrote many of the psalms, he did not write them all.

Probably the best-known Psalm is by David.  It is a mere six verses: Psalm Twenty-Three.

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”

The reader would do well to study the Book of Psalms.

He may even find peace in a time of trouble.

2016 presidential selection

Five notes about the 2016 selection from a year ago.

1 – A Fading Campaign: Scott Walker’s no-good month – Remember when the media was full of “Scott Walker is a dynamo” stories?

Months and months and months until ANY election and the Corporate Media wanted their readers/viewers to believe that Scott Walker was a “no-miss” candidate.

So what has happened to make Scott Walker a “fading” candidate?

This is the other half of the lying Corporate Media’s early campaign scenarios.  First, they write lying stories about how a candidate with almost no support has “momentum” and “Wow!  They’re hot!

Then when they write the “fading” or “struggling” story lines, they’re easier to believe because very few ever supported the guy (in this case, Scott Walker) in the first place.

WHO? was sitting at home demanding that Scott Walker get involved in presidential politics?

And now that very same “no one” is being made more public.

So, Scott Walker’s campaign is “fading.”

The Corporate Media is truly Satan’s Mouthpiece.

2 – Trump: McCain on Steroids? – Well, McCain was also hugely unpopular before the Corporate Media began its campaign to convince Republicans in 2008 that he was somehow popular enough to be their “nominee.”

(And since McCain has now passed away, to hear the Corporate Media tell the tale, he has ALWAYS been an American legend.

3 – Drowning in Weak Polling, How Long Can Lindsey Graham Stay in 2016 Race? – Hard to see why Graham would drop out: he has just as much support now as he did when he entered.

4 – Hillary Clinton revealed to have over a million fake Twitter followers – more than any other presidential hopeful – Truth be told, most of Hillary Clinton’s support is like those imaginary Twitter followers.

Clinton’s not the only media darling with imaginary followers.

5 – Palin won’t rule out serving as Trump’s VP – A match of imaginary proportions

“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.
