The simple truth is: a person’s “reality” is based upon various “access points” of that person’s reality.
“Gaslighting” has been called a form of psychological manipulation.
What gaslighting is, is basically the control of a person’s contact points of reality. Control of those access points of reality is control of reality itself–as the film attempts to demonstrate.
Manipulate those points and the person’s contact with reality is manipulated. In fact, that person’s reality itself is manipulated.

The access points of a person’s reality are the many little, everyday things which a person uses to
“touch base“ i.e., reassure himself that he has contact with “reality.”
How convenient!
So many rely on government/media/entertainment honchos to provide their confirmation of what reality is!
OF COURSE, our culture conveniently provides most of the access points of reality on a daily basis: radio, music streaming, TV, movies, newspapers, various daily amusements, etc.
These access points are used by the vast majority to assure themselves that they know (and have contact with) “reality.”
Once again: control of those access points constitutes control of reality itself.

Unless modern man lives his life in a cave, isolated from the world, he is immersed in a false reality.
In the music he listens to; in the TV shows and movies he watches; in the video games he plays; in the miniature world that his smartphone provides at his fingertips; in the books, newspapers and magazines he reads; in the Internet with which many interact daily: man is immersed in a false reality which he cannot know he is surrounded by.
Unless he obtains help from a great and merciful God.
How does one break free of this artificial reality?
Unfortunately for moderns, breaking free of the ubiquitous deception which living in a controlled, false reality fosters, requires 1- submitting to God Almighty and 2- believing God’s Word.
This is indeed unfortunate for moderns because 1- moderns have been indoctrinated from an early age that “submission” is a bad word, “pride” is a good word and God does not exist–at least in the form presented in God’s Word;
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!”
–Isaiah 5:20-21
and, 2- very few moderns believe the Bible.
“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
–2TIMOTHY 4:4
IF the informational points of a man are controlled, then that man’s reality may be controlled, manipulated and even warped.
The reader may be asking, “Why would someone even want to control another’s reality?”
Control of a person’s reality is control of that person.
And the Bible declares that end times man will not only be controlled, but controlled and deceived.
“And they worshipped the dragon [Satan] which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
–Revelation 13:4,7-8
HOW does the reader determine what is real?
HOW does the reader ascertain that “everything is alright“?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
